'69 #s Z/28, Docs
Nice car - I know we've discussed it here on the site but I can't locate the post.
Would be nice to see some pics of the engine and drivetrain stamps to back up the # claim. Odd to see a body color firewall and 'caution fan' sticker on what looks to be an otherwise stock appearing car.... Wow that was sold in my little town. I have not heard of the guy but could be my dads age. awesome
Seller had an orange z for sale recently. |
----Standard interior with deluxe seats! I also can't imagine the car would have come with red stripes. Wow,,,Looked at the rest of the pics. Soooo much wrong! How about that red steering wheel....Bill S

Ha! I didn’t even notice the standard interior panels. Dig the comfort weave seats though.
|
How about where the spare is mounted!! Looks like 5 leaf springs too
|
Did all 69 Z’s have five leaf springs?
|
They should be 4. SS cars had 5.
|
:Maybe a Mopar guy restored it. (Paint) Really bugs me when they put the cowl seal on incorrectly.:dunno:
|
I thought the firewall on first gen Camaros were always black.
|
firewall should be black

----Rear fender chrome louvers have been added.....Bill S

The POP pictured in the auction has a VIN of 124379N634827. That would not line up with an 05A tag, but then it says the VIN is 124379N643888, which does line up with the cowl tag.
Lots of tags with codes and part numbers that never came on these cars. Other things that dont make sense. |
POP does not appear to be the one for this car (as Jonesy said, vin on plate is different from vin listed for the car). Also the cowl tag looks like it's being held on with double stick tape? Can' see any holes in the firewall or rivets so how else is it staying in place?....

“This car had a complete nut bolt restore, everything was restored.”
So an 18,500 mile car has a repop brake booster and master cylinder? That’s not “restored” that’s replaced…..lol :confused2: Kurt |
Aluminum trim tags & sandpaper don't mix.
|
I got a message back and he said he changed the vin in the auction to stop scammers. Thats is his reason it doesnt match POP but then we are back to to the VIN not matching the 05A on the tag

All that plus actual VIN 643827 still different than 634827 POP.:hmmm: :beers: ~ Pete . |
Look close at the POP and there are some obvious problems
