1970 LS6 Chevelle, 19000 miles... 195,000.00
10 Attachment(s)
Well known car. Orig drivetrain, paperwork etc. huge display cabinet. Others here probably know the car better than me. Only negative is a prior owner added stripes over the orig paint. Was told 2500.00 range to remove the stripes and repaint in the correct lacquer. 195,000.00. [email protected]. Not mine but I am selling it for a friend. I have the car and title etc. No profit for me. You will pay the owner direct. In 2008 this car sold for 195k..

I remember seeing this car listed in Hemmings many years ago. This was before it was known as the Benchmark car. Probably around late 90’s. It was still in W.V. back then. Beautiful car.

I too have seen this LS6 Many Times....Certainly one of the Best Out There!
I liked it way better without the Stripes. Best of luck with the sale. Dan |
Could have done the stripes in vinyl....

I believe this car is on the far right in this pic. It was owned by a person in MN who was involved with the start of the Northstar Chevelle Club.

was owned by Stan here in AZ as well ! I was sitting with him and another one of the owners of this Chevelle when I believe M.Y. was selling it at BJ.....
|
It was also owned by Chad Blomberg who is on the far right in the photo. I am standing next to Chad and Dean is to my left. Chad's 69 Yenko is at the far right.

This is the name I heard about as the owner when I joined the club in about '08. By then, the car and Dean were no longer in it. A few of the people in that pic are still involved with NCC. Derek is into autocrossing as well as his model T activities. |
The owner is more into old pickups and will consider them in trade.....
|
Now that is a sweet piece.

I was just asking someone about this car wondering what happened to it. Shame someone put stripes on it to each their own. I wish I had a cool old truck they’d be interested in and cash I’d love to own this one!

When I come up for air I will unwrap the display.....

Amazing display.
|
Very cool display!! I think the car looks right at home where it is.
When did you have the floors polished in that building? Grant |
Never... Floor scrubber just makes it shine after awhile.
|
Really dig this car. It passed thru Phoenix (Stan Harvell) back in the mid 2000s and saw this car up close. WVa car with cool street racing stories. Love the buckets no console 4 speed. Sad, sad that the next owner did this to the hood and rear deck. I would return it to original as it looked so, so sinister all in BLACK!
|
Stan had purchased the car from me, I purchased it from Dean R.
|
Owner is open to offers......
|
Price lowered to 195K.......

The pics look off but that is very nice orig trunk paint.

Wish I had the dough to purchase this car to match my triple black '71 Monte Carlo and my low mileage Black on Black '71 Nova!

How has this car not sold?
There are LS-6 Chevelle's selling for more $$$ at auctions in Kissimmee and Scottsdale that have no provenance, paper work, documentation or have fraudulent paper work. Crazy.... |

I believe the only way to get top dollar anymore is to consign them to one of the big attraction auctions.
Like others have said, undocumented cars are selling for stupid money and these 2 sit. Need to get a larger attention pool. |
