Wow...one very nice set of wheels.
GLWS |
Wow, those wheels look great Jon!
|
----Original Torque Thrust D's are really hard to track down. Ask me how I know. This set is worth the bread and I would be on them if I hadn't found a set of 4 6's about 3 months ago for a similar price. The 7's are harder to find than the 6's in my estimation!....Bill S

Thanks, yes they are a very nice set. I have another set with polished lips and Polyglas tires on them which I'm going to keep. These are nice but two sets is overkill. I think I also have a spare 15x6 somewhere.

What's the backspace on the 15x7's Jon?Thanks,Bill.
|
PM sent Jon.
|
Bill, looks like 3-11/16", not quite 3-3/4".
|
Thanks Jon.GLWS.

The Torque Thrust D is set up for Corvette. They are designed for large calipers clearance. Spoke face is set back for mid 60 corvette. Turn it sideways and spokes look like a D. These might not clear Z28 calipers. Camaro/Z28 would be “Sport Wheel” embossed. 15 x 6 DF Rally Wheels won’t fit 60’s Corvettes.
15 x 7 and 15 x 8.5 are very easy to find. It’s the 6’s that are super hard to find. … Danny |

These wheels do fit on Camaros, not just Corvettes. I have run them on several of my cars and they look great. Some owners put them on their cars when they were brand new.

Ok, good to know. I wasn't sure, been a long time. Have never run "D" as I don't care for the way they look. Too flat looking. ... Danny

We've all got our preferences of what we like and dislike. To each his own.

No kidding, let’s let Jon sell his very nice vintage TT wheels.

Wheels
I'm not stopping the sale of the wheels. He mentioned he has put them on cars and they look great. That's HIS opinion. I mentioned I DON'T like them. That's MY opinion. Done deal. ... Danny

Thanks for your thoughts. Have a nice day.

If you don't have anything positive to say don't say anything.

Nice wheels Jon. If they were Atlas ...I would be on them quickly. I am in need of 2 more to make a set. GLWS

These would look spectacular on Tim’s new Laguna Blue L72 Corvette Coupe.
|
BJCHEV396 It's not a negative/positive issue. It's JUST an opinion. Jon likes them, I don't. GEEZE.. An example of a negative statement would be to say
"Buyer must be the president of More Money Than Brains Club!" THAT'S negative. See the difference? ... Danny |
I think the point is, this is a for sale thread. Maybe we ought to turn off commenting in the classifieds area.

Outstanding set of wheels and they intrigue me. When I first saw the posted I immediately went to my saved photos of Laurie Craig’s car to see if they appeared similar and then proceeded to scoured the internet for Torque Thrust D information including using the visualizer on American Racing’s site. Great looking wheels on a 67 Z.

I like that idea! |
Jon those wheels are ultra rare!!! GLWS. I have had them on several cars and I never get tired of the look they have on any year Camaro.
|
These wheels look AWESOME! GLWTS. Agreed, these would look bad azz on Tim’s coupe.
