Incredible Orig Paint '70 440-6 Super Bee
Man, is this ever great. Seems fairly priced at $90k when you see V-code basket cases hovering around $20-30k.

I saw this car last weekend before it was relisted and was drooling all over it. It was priced around 85k last time so I'm surprised the ask has went up since it didn't sell but that seems to be the norm these days. I'd love to own a 70 440/6 Coronet or Super Bee so I'm feeling it too Tony.

I personally just adore those unloved ‘70’s. It’s also the year that Chrysler told Edelbrock: “Thanks for the 1969 manifolds but we’ll cast our own now!”

I know where a one owner blue blue buckets 383 auto superbee is... 77 year old lady still daily drives it- really nice car I was asked to inspect by her - and my attorney. ---
BUT THIS CAR is the Bee's knees... red and white with a 440 6 pack and pistol grip 4 spd... .YEA! :burnout::3gears: I think a 440 six pack Superbird is the first car I was ever in where we broke 100 and just kept going... (my dad drove quick but not really that fast.- 80-90 I remember) I was about 12-13 with my dad and his younger cousin in a 9000 original mile - 440 six pack Torque-flight Superbird - there is a video of the ride we are all still searching for - take in consideration this was 1983-84 & my dad was in the center of the back seat taping with his "new" video camera ... - every time the car shifted all you saw in the vid was the headliner. |
Neat car!!!
Thanks for sharing these Tony:worship: |

really like this Killer Bee but confused on that window sticker. The fellow has it listed as a 440 but window sticker says 383 ? Always wanted a nice original 70 4sp Super Bee
|
Super Bee 6 Pack car...

If you look down at the window sticker you will see the 440 6 pack option...the 383 is noted as part of the standard equipment...the 6 pack motor is an upgrade. I agree the 6 pack cars are the bomb :beers::beers: -wilma |

Keep raising the price until he gets the an offer for the 90k... |
FYI, I don't know the car but a friend who is a Mopar expert stated the car is not as described. Perhaps that is the reason it hasn't sold...
|
Makes sense...if you're spending $50k+ it really pays to ask around and dig into the car's history before you commit.
|
|
And again...maybe time for the seller to try a new angle to get this one sold.

Saw this car again on Autotrader listed for $67495. I'd love to know why this one hasn't sold because that's a lot of car for the money considering what some cars are bring these days.

Sharp car! Mopar guys, is that a repro fender tag? Different tag paint color vs inner fender and one of the screws should be painted on this “original paint” car.
|
----Wasn't there something about the tag being attached with one screw and bent up enough to paint underneath it and then bent back and attached with one unpainted screw? This tag shows no signs of being bent and both screws are obviously not painted. Am I even remotely correct?....Bill S
|
I'm no Mopar expert either so I can't answer the tag questions but I love the look of these cars. I'll bet someone took the tag off at some point to clean it up and spray painted it? Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in eventually.
|
First impression is tag looks too clean and crisp to be original. With the rust bubble that's right next to it, would seem there would be some corrosion. Seeing the tag's backside would help. I have original tags on some Mopars that weren't folded for painting, probably just depends upon the plant.
Regardless of repop tag or not, doesn't seem out of line asking price for a 440-6, 4 speed Bee. |
