My LS6

Hi all, It's been a while since I posted on here. It's hard for me to believe that we've owned this car now for 35 years, 2nd owner. This car belongs to my dad and I, he had since passed. Lots of memories in this ole car. Cleaned it up and waxed it, first time in a long time. Thought I would post a few pics. Hope that is ok. If not in the correct section please move. Sorry for the upside down pics, don't know how to correct.

Hi Jim,

So sorry to hear about your Dad. May he RIP.

Your LS6 is among my all time Favorite LS6 Chevelles. Keep her forever....and give it to your Son when he is ready :)

Hi Dan, thanks for the post. Yeah I miss my dad, It's not the same anymore. He taught my son how to drive it. He grins from one ear to another. He likes cars but not as much as I would like him to. He has other interests also.

Sorry for you loss Jim. I'd get your son behind the wheel as soon as possible and let your Dad and the car gods work their magic on him.

RPOLS3 08-11-2021 11:54 AM

Sorry to hear about your father.

I remember seeing this car at SCR 14 (2011) as well, great car.

napa68 08-11-2021 01:28 PM

My condolences about your Dad. I'm lucky mine is around and we're still fooling with cars.

You can post all the pictures you'd like of that car!!!!!

Hubba hubba!

My condolences Jim. I was not aware of your fathers passing so, very sad to hear. I have followed along with most of your posts for many years and they always made me smile. It is hard to beat a story about a rare car where the whole family is involved such as with yours. I think I am up to 5 Monaco Orange LS6's in my database. Hope you keep the car in your family and enjoy it for many more years.

I want to say thanks to everyone for the kind words, it means a lot to me. I grew up with having old/muscle cars due to my dad liking them. Him and I worked and played with these old cars for all of my life (I'm 58). He loved his hobby. This was his favorite and I still have it. Him and I built this car together.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Great LS6, just beautiful.

Postsedan 08-11-2021 03:02 PM

Doesn’t get much better than a car Family :)

Love the 57! Never ever let her go!

here's one car my dad bought back in 1962. He or we have never seen it together in all those years. Seems like once we get started on it something was always put in front of it. Flathead runs, has most all original parts to put together. Maybe here soon I can get it together for him.

Oldss 08-14-2021 02:02 AM

Is that a 33?

Your Dad had great taste in cars.

firstgenaddict 08-28-2021 05:38 AM

Killer Chevelle... absolutely beautiful. I also like the little 34 5 window coupe... with Kelsey Hayes wires. I grew up playing with flatheads.

Jim,

Who made that Metal sign back in the day? Did they contact you and get your permission to
use your CHevelle.....they must have sold many of those. I hope you get a percentage of each sign sold :)

Dan

Crush 01-29-2022 07:13 PM

Hi Dan, no we get no royalties from the sign. If memory serves me, we signed a piece of paper waiving all rights of the photo's. Didn't even knew they put the car on the sign. A friend told me he had a picture of our car on a sign, thats how we found out. Car has also been in several books due to those pictures. Have no idea who made the metal sign.
