Here is my 55 Chevy project
Looks bad ass just as it sits.
Would like to see more pics. Plans? |
Cool car. I have a set of new old stock Kustom headers for it. Let me know if you’re interested.
Love the patina as well as your wheel choice, car looks great!
Looks to be in very solid condition, for a MN car. V8 car ?
I brought a '54 back from Casper WY a few years ago with original paint in like condition. Sure is fun building a car instead of a body first. |
Nice! Post more pics.
This car looks familiar.
Nice looking post. Does it have the waffled interior?
I need to find another one of these. |
Very Cool !!
Classic beauty. With fresh paint, it will look even better.
Beauty! more pictures pls!
----I gotta tell you that I love the stance. Sits just right. The perfect 55 Chevy coupe stance for me!.....Bill S

I can just hear that car rattling away with an L88 in it. PLEASE......leave it!!
Would like to add that the rims look like the Torq Thrust rims that I saw on 4wheelonline.
Bad ass! Love it.
I'm leaving the body/paint/Patina just as it is...I have all the parts on hand except engine, and in the next 2 weeks or so I'm ordering a Blueprint Engines 383/430 hp engine for it. I purchased this car about 18 months ago...it was a barn find last driven in 1973.

Above steering wheel is coming out, black Mooneyes steering wheel going in. Rims are Torq Thrust D's, Towel City Cheater slicks in rear, Firestone F70-15 Wide Oval Radial in front. I'm trying to build the car to look like a 55 Chevy Hot Rod that someone built in the 60's or 70's, old school is key with this car...My son and I have wanted to do this for a long time and when this car showed up on Craigslist 18 months ago I knew this was the car I wanted.

What a great car.
Well done man. Love it.

Wow, you've already done a fair amount of metal work to repair rust. Looks like a nice job of preserving the patina appearance after the repairs.
Did you do the mural work on the trunk lid ? |

Working on a 55 to. Was an old drag car. Took it apart 7 years ago. It has a 327 4 deuces and a 4sp. I'm hoping to have it done for 2022. Going to be 2 tone gold and matt clear no shine on this ride. Building it to drive!

Local friend Dennis H. bought this car and is putting it back together as a rowdy cruiser.
I like how both wheels and tires are different on this classic car. You will have to do some polishing to bring this vehicle back to life.
I love the paint, stance & wheels , and the weathered old street racer vibe rather than the "Bogus Gasser" every other tri-5 that's being built these days. Show quailty paint is way overrated when it comes to having Fun !!!
