80 Chevy K10 SWB

Well here is something that is far from a super car, but thought some of you may appreciate how original this is.

1980 Chevy K10 4x4 SWB. 350 4 speed Cheyenne package. 56,000 miles, most all original paint. Lifelong AZ truck. Complete owner history (original owner til 2019). Original interior, 8 track stereo, sliding rear window, A/C, & chrome bumpers.

I unloaded this off of the transporter a bit over a week ago. All I've been doing is driving this around til today. All I have done is change the fluids, tune on it a little, and enjoy.

I'll post some progress pics as I get through the truck. Wait til you see the bottom of this thing. I'll wait til I can get it on the lift for that.......

Day 2 4x4:hmmm:

Love it. Wouldn't change a thing!!

Although I am surprised to see the short radiator in this one.

Wow. Nice truck.

Mr.Nickey Nova 06-21-2021 11:34 PM

Nice truck!! I too would leave it as is also. Love the short bed trucks...

That's a totally neat one, inside and out! My uncle used to have a nice K10 back in the days and it was one of my fav back then. I'm visiting his garage soon for the installation of the shocks and brake pads plus tire mounting and balancing on his new Wrangler project. I'll see if he still got some photos of the old short bed.

I changed the wheels (more to my liking) and leveled out the rear suspension. Next, the #7 rub down and clean the bottom, engine compartment, etc. I'll realign the doors and replace the sagging rear cab mounts I suspect after that, I just run the wheels off of it.

Love southern vehicles. They are so clean.
The slot wheels are a huge improvement, but, personally, I would have turned the white letters in.

dustinm 06-29-2021 09:34 PM

Even better now. I didnt even notice the rear sag

Mr.Nickey Nova 06-29-2021 11:12 PM

I saw this offering over on BaT. Looking at the pics of the BaT truck makes me appreciate how untouched mine seems to be.

WOW !!! Absolutely crazy that it never got driven ??? Stunning truck and I'm not a square body guy, but I would drive that.
Remember the Gentleman Jim series they had back then for 2 years ? I came very close to buying the blue one..'78-79, don't remember which year it was, but ended up buying an F150 with custom conversion paint and interior. Sorry to say, that was the last Ford I have ever owned. It was a Lemon, with the dog 400 and main bearing problems.

napa68 07-22-2021 12:10 PM

I just finished cleaning the bottom of the truck and gave it the usual Boshield treatment. I'm tickled with how it is coming out:cool2:
