69 z -28 51k document miles unrestored
60 Attachment(s)
This is a 51,000 unrestored Z-28. According to the New Jersey Title from March 28, 1984 the true mileage was 42,251. Steve Shauger from Vintage Inspection Services came to my shop on June 6, 2021 to due the inspection. The key buzzer, radio, cigarette liter, interior lights, exterior lights,4 way flashers, stop lights and back up lights are all in working condition. All four of the Firestone Sports Car 200 tires are period correct and are Not reproductions, the spare is born with the car. The head liner, front and rear seats, door panels, dash panel, rug and date coded seat belts are 100% original to the Z. Also original front and rear floor mats. I believe the engine, transmission with Hurst shifter, drive shaft with correct u-joints, rear end and springs were never removed from the car. Also the calipers, A-frames, springs, ball joints, steering mechanisms are also unmolested. The Black Vinyl top is in excellent condition. $115,000 Please review the inspection report an enclosed pictures Thanks Joe 908-216-5614 PLEASE REVIEW AMENDED CERTIFICATION ON DRY ICE BLASTING

Nice Z Joe! Good luck with the sale. Having Steve bless the car should provide ample confidence to all buyers!

Great Presentation of Z
Hey Joe and Steve. Wow, great job of documenting and presenting this Z/28 with all the nice pics. Looks like a nice original true Z/28. Good Luck with the sale.....Ron

Great job Joe.
Given recent prices for some questionable cars lately, especially on BAT, I will be surprised if this doesn't sell pretty quickly. |
It is few and far between when you find a car like this. And being looked over by Steve Shauger will give the new buyer peace of mind.
Much better than rolling the dice with a lipstick on a pig auction car. GLWS Joe. |
$110,000. Or best offer. Thanks. Joe

Sharp looking Z28 Joe GLWS

Present a car with honesty, integrity, transparency and good photos!! Buyers need this more than ever today!! It amazes me how little research some buyers do as evidenced by the many questionable ( Not Questionable ) cars selling at auction.
Good Job |
Thanks for your post. Seams like the more honesty on sell a car, the less response you get . Hard to figure it out ?????????
|
No. Not at all. Less Response only in that you weed out the ridiculous questions and requests. The REAL BUYERS., they reach out and talk by phone. Patience has always paid off in my life! Not just selling or buying cars ;)

Having a hard time believing this car is still available.
|
I think for me there are a few things that keep me away. No X33/Z21/Z23, lots of incorrect repainting/fluffing under hood, possible hidden issues under zeibart, ZL2 hood and spoiler not factory, 1/4's have no dates telling me maybe been replaced?, and most importantly less than 50% original exterior factory paint. That's ALOT of paint gone. No WS, POP, etc. or maybe just not mentioned. Still a cool car as it is a REAL low mileage '69 Z/28! ... Danny

how do you folks feel about the vintage inspection certificate VS a Mcneish inspection report meaning are recognized in the hobby the same ?
I was asked this question about my car from another member here who was interested in buying my Z28 and for me personally I like the vintage certification by Steve Shauger. He does a great job and knows his stuff.. My opinion. |
OK guys going to Dry Ice blasting to get rid of the ziebart next week I post some new pics when its done. any New Jersey guys that want to watch it done give me a call thanks joe 908-246-5614

One of best colors for a 1969 Camaro IMO. Such a good-looking car.

Please look under the technical & discussion form for the pics after the dry ice blasting thanks joe

How’d the dry ice turn out? Hadn’t seen a thread on in the tech section.

New pics of dry ice blasting and modified report thanks joe

On my 08A Z, the right side spindle had pink paint and the steering knuckle had orange paint (although not nearly as much as on this car). Also had pink paint on some of the steering linkage.
Left side had white paint on spindle, again, same color as on this car. I neglected to take pics; just made notes and then replicated as best I could. Again, I can't believe this is still available. |

Agree, there is nothing to hide, or be concerned about on the underside anymore. If I was Benny, I'd be looking very hard at this car, but I am big Blue fan anyway.. |
thanks for doing that process to the bottom of the car. The 68z I bought has rust proofing on everything underneath. Was going to leave it but now like what you have done.
Very nice car. My car was done with Rusty Jones so it may come off easier than Ziebart. |
