Oh, man. I knew the day was coming, but hoping it would not. So sad. Another epic tremendous person in this great hobby about to succumb to the inevitable. I pray you make a miraculous recovery JH or the suffering to end. His will be done.

We have all been very fortunate to have a guy like him on this Board and many others we all frequent. His level of knowledge and expertise is second to none.

I always enjoyed reading about the assembly process and other procedures in the making of Chevrolets, especially the Camaro.

Heres one example:
The steel wheels were received raw in rail cars, and sent through a hot cleaning and iron phosphating system, then dip-primed or flow-coated with black primer and baked. Then they they were mounted on spinning hubs on racks (5 wheels to a rack) on a conveyor and the outer face of the wheel was sprayed with body color gloss wheel enamel, and they were baked again. From there they were conveyed to the tire mounting and balancing system. Only the outer face of the wheel had body color on it.

I have known John for thirty plus years. Met him at a NCRS Event and always struck up a conversation with him because of his knowledge. I just spoke to him about a month ago and have been trying to reach him ever since. Now I know why he is not responding to me.

I notified the remaining Norwood management team members of this condition update on John.

They want to convey their wishes for a recovery for him and they do acknowledge the significant contributions that He has provided the hobby pertaining to many vehicle models over the years, and specifically his description of "F" production processes while he was employed at Lordstown assembly.
