What are your thoughts on this Trim Tag?

Rivets indicate it has been off the car. Would prefer a better pic but have reason to question it.

VIN tag has definitely been off the car, dash top replaced. Proceed with caution.

Does this help ? I lightened it up a bit.

NorCam 02-10-2021 06:43 PM

Not original rivets so I'd have to concur that it's been off the car. I kinda like the color options and interior but then I am biased.

William 02-10-2021 07:19 PM

Best pic is straight on. Looks like the characters were lightly sanded to look worn.

Georgeous looking car. Only about 700 builds away from mine. Tag information lines up with mine but as has been mentioned may have been off the car.

It is nice, but I am not buying 1081 miles (believed to be actual) if it needed a full restoration.

It doesn't even have its original rear springs. Lots of incorrect details.

For $183k, they could have at least finished out the ducted hood air cleaner assy to include the flange and the gasket.

The recent Mecum prices are blowing everything out of the water...

frankk 02-10-2021 08:24 PM

That's getting close to $250,000 Canadian dollars. Mucho dinaro. But then a 8 foot 2x6 is now over $10. Used to buy those for $1.50 not that many years ago.

And there is a lot of wood in Prince George to boot.

It has repo rear axle housing weld on spring perches too!

Wrong brake pedal pad, rockers should be painted black for starters. A lot of money with things wrong...

Plus the water pump is ribbed for your pleasure. ROTFLMAO

frankk 02-11-2021 02:25 AM

Mike!!! are you getting frisky

rszmjt 02-11-2021 03:12 AM

Sorry I couldn’t help it, just trying to lighten up with everything going on in the world.

Seriously, you would think a car advertised for $182 K US Dollars would not be able to be picked apart.

FWIW, I don’t like the tag .

Lynn 02-11-2021 04:33 AM

I read more of the ad and the explanation of low miles. Doesn't appear from the ad that any of the power train is original. Poorly executed "restoration" of a put together car using an old drag car shell.

Bob Jenkins 02-11-2021 04:58 PM

the vinyl top molding placement looks wrong, too wide of a gap on the sides

ELEFUNTMAN 02-11-2021 08:24 PM

Nice passenger side valve cover breather hose, and the "brand new" spare wheel!

Thanks for the reply. Any one else have a definitive opinion on the tag?

fiveforty 02-12-2021 02:40 PM

I do not like the looks of that tag.

Lynn 02-12-2021 04:32 PM
