|
Not the battle we were looking for
|
Brady! Crazy
|
Tom Terrific!

No disrespect to the post here, but I refused to watch the NFL after the players starting kneeling during the National Anthem. I could care less about the players and the league.

I didn't realize the SB was in Tampa until 2 days ago. I just hope they get all their celebrating done and the riff-raff leaves town before we get there next week.
Tom Brady plays for Tampa ??? Last I knew, he was with New England...:dunno: I lost any interest in Pro sports many years ago, when they started paying individual players multi millions to play and then raised ticket prices too high for the average person. Then they demanded the cities they were based in build them new stadiums on tax payer money or they would move to a city that would. The kneeling ? It is just another chapter in the unacceptable evolution of the NFL believing we the people NEED them around. |

The Superbowl in Tampa was the lowest rated Superbowl since 1969. It was the 4th lowest rating in history.
SB1 1967 22.6 SB3 1969 36 SB2 1968 36.8 SB55 2021 38.2 While folks are enduring a pandemic you would think TV ratings would be up. The NBA finals and World Series also have dropping ratings. UFC is doing fine though. So is the PBR. |
Well, I’m done. First time in my adult life, I did not watch a single down of the NFL season. I love the game, played through high school. Joe Namath is my hero and I refused to watch. Trashed all my Nike gear. What’s next!

I tuned in to watch the monkeys dance. Same as music. I want to see and head Ted play Stranglehold. I'm not at the show to listen to his political opinions. |
Turned off the NBA when Latrell Spreewell choked out his coach and was simply picked up by another team. Win at all cost even if it means employing thugs.
Turned off the NFL years ago for much the same reason. The National Hockey League seems to be the only professional sport that has consistently dealt with personnel issues in a fair and equitable manner. Major League Baseball does a pretty good job but the game is just too slow to stay interested in and Vin Scully retired so no reason to listen anymore. |
