That's an awesome car. I guess it's just good to be alive in a time where these cars are seeing this type of valuation again.
|
That is a very original car which was Vintage Certified and achieved Legend Award in 2016. Rally green is such an awesome color.

These pics were from the day I first inspected the car at Mike’s Shop, and soon thereafter I purchased it and then sold it to Jim Bodanis. He spent countless hours cleaning and detailing getting it ready to be shown at MCACN 2016. No paint work whatsoever was performed during the clean up on the original body.
Many of the so called Survivor Z28s I have seen have been “Revivored” but not this car. It has had some maintenance work performed with NOS / Original parts over its 52 years, but based on what I see it was minimal. |

Great pics! Curious on the underside shot showing the trans and oil pan, what is the black splotches in the tunnel by the trans linkage? Camera lighting or was it there?

Great benchmark car. I did notice that the white stripes extended onto the trunk lid, didn't think the trunk lid was painted. Here's a shot of my old original paint Z28.
|
With no emblem the spoiler may have been added?
|
I don’t recall what the black is in the trans tunnel and the spoilers were added by the original owner.
|
Beautiful car! Does the rubber hose at the fuel pump have any markings/stampings like the one pictured from the fuel tank?
Thanks, Doc. |
Fyi, your driver door hinge pin is almost out....Jeff G.
|
Jeff, Thanks for the heads up, but there are no issues with the original hinges. The doors open and close very nice.

Sweet 69 Z-28. Had a chance back in the later 70's to buy a 69 Z with same color as this car. Wished i would of never passed it up. 3,500.00 dollars bought it back then. Had a cowl hood too. Beautiful Z here at Nickey.
