Holy crap that’s cool! Good luck with the sale!

Hotrodpaul 02-03-2021 06:10 PM

Wow, what a car! I wonder what that dual snorkel air cleaner cost in terms of HP on the LS6 over the cowl induction?

I would love to see some dragstrip times of this car with 4.10's, open element air cleaner, open long tube headers, and drag radials.....

BLACKLS5 02-03-2021 06:35 PM

Holy cow... Hell of a car Sir.

SS427 02-03-2021 06:43 PM

I inspected this car several years ago (at the Super Car Reunion if memory serves me) and it was absolutely incredibly original. There were a few oddball things that were done during the assembly of the car that were out of the ordinary and very interesting so again, never say never. Stunning car to say the least and a very nice survivor.

Mr70 02-03-2021 06:49 PM

Not a shameless plug, but if someone here buys this and it doesn't have it's original owners manual i have a correct one rubber stamped from Penske Chevy.

'67s were done like that, depending on the plant. Thanks Rick!

Just realized that my Dual Snorkel Atlanta car was built just over a week after this one... 7A trim tag and 07-02 on build sheet. Also found parts of a 2nd one under the drivers side of the front bench seat.. Nice to see in its original state, would be great to have it aside mine to help the restoration details... ;)

Good Luck with the sale and Congrats to the future new owner.

Judging by the quality/originality and prices of the cars at the Muscle Car City auction. You could argue that this car is a steal at that price!
Once again gorgeous car and I believe it’s priced right.

I agree - also....very few (if any) at Musclecar City would hold a candle to the quality of this car IMO.

WILMASBOYL78 02-04-2021 01:06 PM

70 Chevelle...

Plain Jane white exterior, gold cloth bench seat, column shift TH400 with the big 454...simply beautiful. Classic muscle car :worship::worship::worship:

I spoke with the son of the original owner. His father owned it up until 2008 when he passed. He told me that his mother wouldn’t let his father buy a muscle car. So his father ordered it not to look like a muscle car. He got the bench automatic because they had four kids. His son said they hardly ever got to ride in the car. I believe him because the interior looks like day one. Look on the order sheet and you can see he chose Blue interior then it got crossed out and chose gold. It would’ve looked good either way.

I don't want to side track his listing but I always thought the dual snorkel air cleaner was a early build thing, It appears to me now it was a late build item. Since both cars are from the Atlanta plant maybe assembly plant specific?

Stefano 02-04-2021 07:11 PM

Very interesting (options) Survivor. This is a Blue Chip type of LS6. I inspected the car for a previous owner/buyer as well as helped resell it a few years later. Great Car!

flyingn 02-04-2021 08:32 PM

he special ordered it.. How cool. 3.31 rear too. Looked him up. His son lives in Denver pa and is 60

Woj 02-05-2021 03:19 AM

Doesn't get much better than this. I love the plain jane survivor/a$$ kicken aspect of this car.
