1969 L78/M22 SS396 Chevelle Convert on BaT
This looks familiar:)

That's John's L78 Convertible from Chicago...but you already knew that :)
|
George Oleskiewicz's car too.
|
I bought it in 1992 sold it to George in 1998 and then bought it back in 2001. I have a terrible habit of buying cars back for more than I sold them for.

Why does BAT play this Hour Glass game with the clock ending time? Very Frustrating!
Seems when they get in a last second bid the clock adds additional time....Very Vegas Like! Dan |
It gets rid of the last second sniping and can really create an energetic back and forth among buyers, and BaT watchers. It can create a group excitement more like an in-person auction. My friend listed his exceptional restomod Camaro on there and the back and forth went on (with an online audience commenting )for another half hour. I bet it made him at least $20k, if not more.
|
I have gone into the last two minutes of my BAT listings and it has doubled, at times, the sale price of the vehicle.
Good luck with the sale of the Chevelle beautiful car |
I keep up with the L78 Camaro Convertible market, due to being involved with 4-5 of them -how is the L78 Chevelle Convertible market?
|
I do not think a real L78 69 chevelle convertible has been sold in a while. I do not think there is more than 15 known and 2 of them are L89 convertibles. It will be interesting to see if it hits it reserve. Next up to go for sale is my RS SS l78 69 Camaro Conv. It will be interesting to see the difference between the Camaro and Chevelle
|
I’ve seen this car at the Lombard Car Show years back.
Gorgeous is an understatement, but y’all already know this. Someone is going to get a kick ass car. |
I look soooooo forward to all of us getting back to Lombard, the Best!

IMHO someone should consider themselves to be lucky to get into a born with drive train 69 RS/SS L78 Camaro convertible for less than 200k. |

That must be the canadian automatic one Chuck bought. The one I was thinking of has black interior. I would love to get anywhere close to that for my 69 Camaro
|
The one chuck had for sale was the Canadian one . That has a black interior
|
Yes I posted a picture of the Canadian one Chuck had. The owner in Canada had sent me pictures of it
