Looks like a great car, says it has orig. drivetrain.

It looks pretty decent except for the sticker on the front fender. Did you ask for the vin#?

scuncio 10-17-2020 04:08 PM

Seems like a great price.

Looks like a decent car! I like it...... a lot. Anyone know the car?

IMO... Either needs more authentic vintage decals, or remove that one.

Cheesy repop air cleaner.

L78M22Rag 10-17-2020 06:53 PM

I just noticed that’s the same “by Berger” sticker on the fender as is on the air cleaner. I recall other Berger cars having that on the air cleaner (shame that it’s a cheesy repop), but not on the exterior of the car?

Car is sold pending payment

I knew the man In Texas that owned this car. If I think about it long enough,I will remember his last name. His first was Mike.He was a big fan of the Berger cars. Last time I talked with him was probably the late 90's,I believe. I called him and talked to him about my old Berger Copo and the Berger cars in general. He seemed to have the vin and body numbers on my car, he got very excited when I told them what they were. He told me when we got of the phone to call Ed Cuneen, which I did. If I remember correctly, Ed already had the numbers too. Mike called me a day or to later and asked if Ed was going to certify my cars numbers and what did he charge me. He laughed and said Ed should give him a cut on having the Berger numbers. I always wondered if Mike had given some of them to him.Mike seemed to have contacts at Berger, I think he and Matt were friends.
Later on, Mike purchased a 485hp Berger Camaro and had Berger take the car apart and paint it Daytona Yellow to match his 69. He brought the 69 up from Texas to the Labor day show and took delivery of the new one.

Was his name Mike R? I have a couple yellow Berger cars in my data and one was listed as owned by a Mike R.

Congrats on a KILLER CAR!
The berger cars are so nicely equipped!
D80 - D90 stripes VE3's Style Trim Double Copo - Center mount fuel with Tach in the right it appears from the photos, which if not mistaken became part of the sports car conversion by this time.
