'69 Chevelle Concours Wagon - Factory 350/4-sp

Neat car. I actually have the car shipper for this one, which I purchased a few years ago in a large collection of dealer paper. If anyone here buys this car I'll cut you a great deal on that.

Pretty rare to see a wagon with a factory 4-speed.

Love it!

Albert what a cool tow car this would make for your 1969 COPO Chevelle :)

----Talk about bad adds! Really weak description and only mediocre at best pics. Still, would love to have it. That would push me up to six long-roofs......Bill S

From the eBay ad...."I was told this model was a limited production for drag racing." :haha:

69 Concours wagon Factory 350 4 spd

Does anyone know if this car sold last fall . I know they are quite rare , and just came across another 4 spd wagon

69biscayne 05-10-2021 11:35 AM

Yes it was sold. I looked at it last fall but couldn't come to a agreement on price. I think he said it went south to Kansas or Missouri.

This car did need a lot of work.

Howmac 05-10-2021 12:56 PM

Thanks , Do you recall what they were asking for a price . Also did it have the original powertrain in it ? I'm trying to determine a value for these 4 spd wagons .

69biscayne 05-10-2021 01:19 PM

He was asking $10,500, I offered $7,500,he came down to $9,500.

Still had original drivetrain.

Where did you find another one?

Steve

Howmac 05-10-2021 02:35 PM

Steve, Found this Concours wagon ( project) in Western Canada . Baltimore built , and sold new in Canada so I was able to get the GM Historical documentation. Still all #'s. LM1 , M20 , F40 , N96 wheel covers , C50 RW defogger . An oddball for sure . Likely the only M20 wagon in Canada .

69biscayne 05-10-2021 02:52 PM

If you need more room you could send the 69 L72 over the border, I am right below you.LOL

Howmac 05-10-2021 07:24 PM

Yes , I noticed your just across the border ... Funny how we both have 69 Biscaynes , but were also interested in Chevelle wagons as well ! My Biscayne may be available this summer . I had it sold twice last summer , but both buyers backed out for various reasons ( wife did not give approval, Covid border issues etc... ) . Market seems to be a little stronger this year , so I may re-list it . Can you send me details of your Biscayne ?

69biscayne 05-10-2021 08:31 PM

I just like wagons in general. I have a 68 Impala wagon and a 68 Caprice wagon(project). I use to drag race a 68 Impala wagon. My 69 Biscayne was a 427 (low HP) 4sp with disc brakes. Was an old drag car. It is in such bad shape (frame is gone) that I am keeping it for parts. I have the original engine and 12 bolt.

Chevelle Wagon...

In 1970, I believe you could order the LS-3 402/330hp. in the Chevelle wagon.

A base model Nomad wagon with the big block, 12 bolt and 4 spd. would be a great starting point for a performance build.

I’ve seen 3 1969 Malibu wagons
In my It’s travels.
very cool.

chevelleheart 05-15-2021 02:43 PM

I also have to admit I have a bit of a wagon problem ! They are just so cool to me now, maybe it’s my age , but you just don’t see these too often ! Fortunate to have 3 all stock looking , a 64 Biscayne 4 speed , 409 wagon, it’s a built car , a 71 454 Chevelle SS wagon ( one of none )and a 68 Beaumont SD 396 wagon ( also one of none )..
It’s fun taking them out,..the smiles are great! I might be downsizing soon also , but they are a hoot to bomb around in,..talk about your grocery getters !

Longroof Chevelles, didn't expect to see them discussed here, so can't help but jump in!

My current project, I drove this '67 Concours (1 of 6,299) home from Palmdale CA in 1990, parked since then. Working on a deep cleaning, then paint correction and new woodgrain vinyl. Still has it's original tags and Starksen frames.

In due time Jake, and not intending to hijack this thread. The desert hardpan grime is very stubborn to remove, but is hiding very nice finishes as the pic shows, that will take a while.
Also attached is a pic of the floor pans including the original Fremont assembly dual exhaust. Beyond the surface rust on the frame, this car has zero rust.
