8,170 Mile Orig Black-on-Black/69 Chevelle SS396 4-sp

Not sure I buy the mileage story, but let's be honest, in this condition it doesn't even matter. According to the seller this car was driven for one year and parked...well, until now. Neat to see an original 10 10 code SS396 in any case. Time to buy some penetrating oil if you decide to take this one on.

Yikes... sad display of waste and irresponsible.

Astock 05-17-2020 09:04 PM

No matter how farfetched the condition, and proof, it's been the trend to advertise cars with the miles showing. The car has a minimum of 108.

JRSully 05-17-2020 09:41 PM

strip then crush, L78?

SuperNovaSS 05-17-2020 09:47 PM

It has a very recent Holley on it......
Either way, black L78 is crazy cool.

How about those rolled lip exhaust tips? You don't see that every day.

Damien 05-17-2020 11:26 PM

Ran when parked......

RPO LS7 05-17-2020 11:46 PM

No piercing for rear SS emblem?

Charlierogers 05-18-2020 12:07 AM

is it even worth the 5 grand bid in parts??

dvss1 05-18-2020 12:10 AM

Wow what a shame. I believe this is the same car I looked at in Wade Hampto SC about 25 years ago when I used to take a week off to go to the auto fair.

BCreekDave 05-18-2020 12:16 AM

One of those that wouldn't sell it as "I'll get to it someday". If they sat in it now, the seat would fall through the floor. It's a shame.

Supergas990 05-18-2020 02:29 PM

"Ran when parked"? Just "clean interior" and "Fix the floor". Is this guy serious???

The mileage got my attention and then I just cried a bit.

This guy is delusional! There going to start fixing it and drive it? NO way not gonna happen. I see the plugs are out, I bet that motor is locked up. I love 10-10 cars I think it would be scary of what lies beneath when you start digging into it. SAD

I think I can see the rear SS emblem holes in the photo

"This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing."

So I assume it was sold offline?

AnthonyS 05-19-2020 10:15 PM

Aren't those dual bolt pattern aftermarket rally wheels - and that is not an original master, rather looks like a generic OTC replacement unit... it's been futzed with, that's for sure... never mind the neglect.

I bought it guys.. Couldn't pass it up due to the pedigree and what it is.

I should have it restored and debut it this November at MCACN..

If you do that you’ll be faster than super Dave!

SuperNovaSS 05-22-2020 11:14 PM

Watch it be a COPO with SS badges added........

LOL.. "I was just pulling everyone's leg" I did NOT buy this car nor would I ever want to take on a project like this car would be... I figured I would get some funny responses about having the car completely restored by November.. LOL
