My sunshine Carrie

Dear Yenko.net. friends

Yesterday was the worst day of my life. I lost my wife, who was my rock, my soul mate and my best friend. Carrie was 48 years young and we have been together for 31 years and married 23.5 years.

She was the most selfless person I have ever known. When she was around you, she always cheered up the room with jokes or quick witted comments that would bring a tear to your eye.
She loved horses and was into raising money for the charity "Joy of Jasper" to take care of those animals that were neglected or abandoned. She was a level 10 Agility champion Through CPE (canine performance events) with our Yellow Lab "Cooper". She was a Para-professional for kindergarteners who's minds she sculpted for the better, and she was a tried and true car girl that ALWAYS owned a Camaro since she got her license.

Words can't express the hole in my heart right now, The emptiness is sometimes unbearable, but our family is the best support team anyone could ask for.

Rest in piece my sunshine, Till we meet up again

Scott:

So sorry for your loss. Brings tears to my eyes.

I cannot imagine losing Sherri.

No one can say anything to make it better. Time helps. Nothing completely heals the hurt of losing a loved one.

Be thankful for the time you had together.

Scott, although we have never met, your tragic loss has shaken loose emotion within me.
March 2009 I suddenly lost my Karen, wife of 28 years, at age 52.
Shook me to the core.

Now is the time to lean heavily on your support group, be they family, friends or the group here at SYC, and maybe people you don't yet realize.
That hole in your heart, I understand. The scars will remain, but time does heal the wounds.

So very, very sorry for your loss.

Hi Scott-so sorry to hear this. Like has been said above get in touch with your support group and also don't forget to reach out to grief counselor if you need to-they can be and are wonderful folks.

There's no shame in asking for help. Also know that there is no timetable for grieving. Some are able to cope almost immediately while others can months or even years.

Please know that we are all here for you. We will offer up prayers tonight for you and your family.

My sunshine Carrie

Scott: So very sorry for the loss of your wife, Carrie. As long as you can keep her in your mind and in your heart, she will always be with you at your side, just on another plane of existence. There will be instances where she'll let you know she's around, appearing in your dreams at night, the smell of her perfume, or even someone saying something that will remind you of her. I thoroughly believe in this as I have experienced it first hand. If I can be of any further help to you or you just need someone to talk to, please call me. My most sincere condolences. Don.

MosportGreen66 02-27-2020 04:01 PM

Scott, my sincere condolences. Anything we as a group can do just say the words...

Respectfully,
Dan

Scott
I’ve been off here for a few days and just learned of your tragic loss. A truly sobering, numbing chilling event that effects me deeply. As your friend and “brother”, I hurt when you do. I shudder to think of how my world would come crashing down should the same tragedy occur to my “soul mate”. A profound, deep hole in your heart, I try to imagine, but cannot truly comprehend. May God be with you and your family and may your faith strengthen you to “keep on” when your heart says, “this is the end”.
The grief will be great and lengthy as a testimony of her greatness. But in time, May tears be replaced with smiles of fond, happy memories. May God send you the people to comfort you at this time.
With deepest sorrow for your loss,
Your friend and “brother”,
Bentley
I will add, that beautiful person that left way too soon was blessed to have you and her life was richly blessed as a result.

Scott,

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I can't say anything that others haven't already said but, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
I can't begin to imagine the emptiness that you must be feeling; I know I would be lost if that happened to me.

Like others have said, you have a very tight knit bunch of guys here who are just one more resource for you if you need to talk through anything.
We may not have the right words but can certainly lend an ear if that helps.

God bless.
