Nice '65 Corvette Day 2 Coupe, Cool Ancient Custom Paint

Here's a legit Day 2 car with period 50-year-old paint, too. Sounds like it might have been a high-horse 327 originally, but the original mill is long gone. Buy-it-now doesn't seem outrageous if you're really in love with the look.

----Not a really big deal but he stated "teak wheel" and that's not one. I'm also wondering what the car drives like with the throttle linkage set up the way it is pictured. To me that would be that way too much fuel delivered off idle! He also stated 327/350 but the tach is saying 365hp. Pretty decent old day 2 Vette though......Bill S

It is a telescopic column though!
Paint colors are a little more subdued than some of those old custom jobs, which appeals to me.

I love it! What is the value on the car if the paint and body was stock?

Super cool but tread carefully if anyone serious as Vin noted w/ auction can't be real.
Whether other #'s correct or not, the year digit in position six w/ 4 instead of 5 is wrong also not a '64 vehicle being the 194 Vin format was new for '65. - 194375S121454

The seller sent me a picture of the title. The 6th digit is a 5. He purposely moved some numbers around to prevent fraud.
I was looking at the YouTube videos of the car and noticed that there is a video of him receiving an award. He is a retired police chief.

I like custom paint on the old-school day-two cars like this one, but the asymmetrical look doesn't appeal to me. It just looks haphazard to me, like the painter just started randomly masking off sections of the car. Must be the Libra need for balance. :)

Love the flares and the ET slots, though.
