----Scott,,,A little tip. Run the battery maintainer wires thru the side scoop so as not to chance a scratch on the fender top. Nice tidy 390hp 67! Are the seats repro or original?..….Bill S

Yea i told the old guy about the tender wires when i looked at the cars, as for the seats i really dont know off hand but they should be orig since the car has 40,000 documented miles...Thanks.

Real pipes?
|
i think the pipes were added but are GM.
|
Scott, the tank sticker would certainly clarify the sidepipe option.
|
I looked at the tank sticker its very dark and u can see stuff but not everything.

----One of the best ways of telling weather a Corvette came with sidepipes is to check the area directly in front of the rear wheel in the wheel well. The tab at the bottom has a half round slice taken out of it. Find a car that did have sidepipes from the factory and you will see what I'm referring to. That cut is almost never cut correctly by guys adding sidepipes.....Bill S

On a side pipe car the frame along the side pipes have notches in it and there is no rubber around the lower bolt in panel by the front frame

You can look for treads in the holes were they would fastened the ground straps to the transmission cross member. Also look for staple holes were the weatherstrip would have been fastened on the front fender lower rear mud shield. If it has the treads or the holes it didn't leave the factory with side pipes.
