I really like this one - ancient repaint, original drivetrain, great colors, custom interior, protectoplate, $57k buy-it-now.

MosportGreen66 10-10-2019 04:19 PM

cool car!

Tidmack 10-11-2019 01:59 PM

I like this one a bunch, too. Looks to be a good, honest car!

SupremeDeluxe 10-11-2019 07:50 PM

That looks like a gem, very tempting. Appears to be a lot of value there.

Hotrodpaul 10-11-2019 08:33 PM

I wonder if it is an original ducted hood car? Same build date as my Z (01B) with the same dated engine (V1227DZ).

Maybe build sheet is on the tank still.

30 bids in @ $53,100 and only 3,900 away from the $57,000 BIN.
All looks good and anyone serious may soon hit the BIN instead of a higher bid?:hmmm:
:beers:

If I was bidding on this car I'd have hit the buy it now already, not worth missing out on it to save 3k IMO.

Tracker1 10-12-2019 09:02 PM

Cool car, I was interested in it so reached out to owners representative. Entry hole for cowl induction looks all wrong from pic I was sent. Also Edgemontvillage pointed out the crumpled pinch weld Visible in the lower rusty fender pic so we concluded a front end collision is part of the cars past. Current owner has had the car since 89 and never dropped tank.

scott s 10-12-2019 11:42 PM

what is that sender on the front of the intake????

Which should tell you about those bids..not that it isn't a very nice car at the BIN price.

Totally agree!

Mr70 10-13-2019 03:29 PM

That is some very close suspicious bidding.
...If this was a MECUM auction,Dana would get the seller & bidder together and talk out a price before it rolled off the stage unsold.

ALLZS 10-13-2019 09:14 PM

I did a inspection on this car today

Charley Lillard 10-13-2019 09:36 PM

And ?

ALLZS 10-13-2019 09:46 PM

it is a true rally sport not a factory cowl hood car all original sheet metal nice floors lot of original stuff but a lot of it has been chrome plated or polished missing some stuff alt - original oil pan - carb - smog but it is a solid honest car

what did you make of this ripple in the pinch weld? Included pic of undamaged pinch comparison.

Tracker1 10-14-2019 05:02 PM

Maybe hydraulic floorjack damage?

ALLZS 10-14-2019 08:39 PM

both fenders where dated correct to the car

It sold?

firstgenaddict 01-07-2020 04:41 PM

nice looking car... I love dusk blue...
If the hood date lined up with the car I would believe it was a real cowl hood car, early cowl hoods are NOT EASY to locate.
FWIW the hood date on the old Bill Hunter NORWOOD 01B Yenko is 53. -

Unfortunately, not an original cowl hood car. ALLZS already checked that out
