Hi all

This was ay my local car show this past Tuesday night. Amazing time capsule and IMO was the star of the show!

Nova Pete 09-26-2019 06:16 PM

Very cool!!

Nova Pete 09-26-2019 08:05 PM

I couldn’t believe what I was looking at. Never mind it being a 9561 but the originality of it was stunning! Most ppl looked at it and just walked by. Like it was just another camaro lol.

Window sticker, PoP, racing history ect..

Was purchased from Valenti Chevrolet in Connecticut

That’s all the pics I was able to get however there is another show coming up and this car will be there. I plan on getting lots more pics. The underneath looks completely untouched including the exhaust. Same for the engine and bay. It does have headers. The interior has that familiar “old car” smell lol.

It’s very very original. I’ll get more pics

Looks like an endurance bumper car also. Icing on the cake.

WorkinProgress 09-26-2019 11:45 PM

Yes it does have that. No deck lid spoiler. Very plain except for the chrome trim. The tires on it I didn’t like but what a incredible car to see in person. Finally

Using the CPI inflation calculator, $3892.70 in 1969 dollars converts to $27,286.98 as of August 2019. Read it and weep!

William 09-27-2019 12:23 AM

Window sticker is an aged repro.

Is car legit?

William 09-27-2019 12:43 AM

Don't know. Never saw it and not aware of anyone that has.

Mr70 09-27-2019 01:33 AM

Nice looking car.
Sure is an aged repro window sticker.Don't let him try to pass it off as real.

x33rs 09-27-2019 01:38 AM

At first glance I thought I was looking at Beardy's COPO but then I saw the hubcaps. As long as Beardy owns his it'll never have the caps back on it. LOL

Nova Pete 09-27-2019 10:15 AM

The display board said it has certified by the COPO connection. Would that be Ed Cunnen?

Yes. I believe Ed gave two types of certs. Back in the 90's when he did my car, the paperwork and plaque were carefully worded, saying only that the body number and vin were from his records as being a Berger Copo. Not the car. He said that would cost extra and he would have to see the car.

Interesting info. Thanks.

I have the COPO connection book I bought from Ed and I think the year was 2000. Really great info. I’ve read it so many times.

COPO_Anders 09-28-2019 11:33 AM

Hi !

This car is listed as "documented" in the first COPO Connection Source Book, just like mine was. It is under "Berger and L-72"

When I saw it at the carshow near Hartford I didn´t find my little camera, so I couldn´t take any pictures. I remember the owner saying that it had been sitting in a garage for a long time because of a problem in one of the cylinders. He said he had sleeved it, "just like they do in Nascar", and it was still std bore.
He didn´t have any paperwork on display at that show.
