Rad cap restoration

Since Joe Perri is no longer with us, any recommendations for restoration of RC15 rad caps?

Thanks, Bill W

Have an RC15 radiator cap myself that I would like to get restored, so I'm wondering as well.

Contact Mike. Handle here is m22mike.

Pretty sure he is doing them, and they look really good.

Nope, I am done.

Supposedly Someone has bought all Joes stuff and is doing caps. You might inquire on the ncrs website.

This is in fact true. His name is Tim Bartsch and he's located in Minot, ND. His website is

https://www.gen2restorations.com/

I have sent him a cap to restore so I will report back here when I get it back. I spoke with him on the phone and he indicated that he is using the same plater in Chicago that Joe used as well. You can also find some of Tim's other items on ebay, including voltage regulators. He sells under two different names.

Here is the contact information for Joe’s successor, the link to my post on CRG:

I just got my restored radiator cap back from Tim at Gen2 Restorations. Sent the cap out on December 18, received it back January 17. Tim texted me pics of the cap upon receipt and during various stages, and texted me with a tracking number prior to return shipment. Cap comes with a lifetime warranty. First pic is as received by Tim. It was a fairly decent cap to start with.

To my surprise, after disassembly and clean-up there ended up being a couple pinholes that needed filling. Tim soldered them up, which did not involve any extra charge. He did send me a message explaining that the repair would still be evident after plating, so I knew what to expect.
