Interesting 67 Camaro 4K Pace car, x race car clist

I'm currently in Portland and cruising the local craigslist and saw this Camaro.

67 4k x race car called "rapid transit"

Cool car if accurate.

If all the original pieces are simply disassembled, I think the car is worth reassembling in its race car form. Hope someone here pursues it.

First four pics w/ '67 'Vert + Tag are from the ad.
The '67 Coupe in the last shot is unrelated as much as I know but w/ Rapid Transit name, thought it may as well land here too.
Can't help but wonder if these cars were running the name before Chrysler's 1970 Rapid Transit campaign?:hmmm:

Again, unrelated to the subject car.
Looks like a Central emblem?
:hmmm:

Some guys were really keen on stripes going every which way back in the day...

Yes.....I do believe it is a Central Chev emblem from London Ontario.

Dead link now but cool project and congrats to the new owner!
Unless an SYC Member got it, maybe whoever did will Google their way here someday?

The CA 427 Plate on the '67 Coupe w/ Central emblem looks similar to the old Saskatchewan style, what's anyone else think also any ideas of track location and date...late 70's/early 80's?:hmmm:
:beers:
