Need help identifying a 1st Gen F body bolt in roll bar

Ive acquired a bolt in chrome roll bar that appears to be for 67-69 camaro/firebird. Ive only seen one other in a Camaro. Im not sure if these were mass produced or if a shop made them so any info would be appreciated. Pics to follow. Bare with me its been a long time since i posted pics in a forum.

Thanks, Dennis

Throwing this out there . Ill trade if anyone is interested for a lakewood 3 point bar with 2nd gen camaro feet.

Is there no speculation on what this is?

Honestly believe its most likely a one off. Lakewood is about the only on that I know of that made the 3 point. Now Hooker made some in the late 70's but not for 1st gen I dont believe.

Thank you for the reply. I too was thinking the same thing but whats intriguing is this is the same style bar in this car which is in cali, im in NY.http://i67.tinypic.com/wat0cm.jpg

My fault. I thought the photos were of the same bar setup just redone (didn't see the the text under the photo). Then I guess there was someone making one but to who I do not know as of yet. Do the downward rear bars attach to the panel or actually go all the way to the wheel well?

They def bolt to the rear wheel well. If you look at the bar in that car closely you can see it goes from tubing to flat stock like mine. It was prob done like that to minimize the surgery on the side panel. Distinct design and I have the same one. Its interesting.

The only thing I dont see clearly on that bar is this gusset.

Well, since there seems to be little or no care for the bar i'm going to most likely shorten it and fit it into my 70. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to feel guilty about it.

I am interested in the bar. Send me a PM.
