What a Beauty, Congrats!

Wasn't this Z-28 discussed on here.....or owned by a former member on here.....or is there possible two twins out there?

Dan

firstgenaddict 01-25-2019 03:03 AM

2 owner car... - I looked back through the posts here last week and didn't see it, however I am half blind and only semi-literate so I could have missed it.

Motorhead848 01-25-2019 03:11 AM

That looks like a great car!! Vintage certification candidate?

With that patina and floors, I would think so!

hogdaddy 01-25-2019 03:42 AM

Congrats on a beautiful Z. I like the color.

ScottG 01-25-2019 03:56 AM

Wow and Wow . I am impressed .. Sick car !!

carnut4life 01-25-2019 04:10 AM

Beautiful car, I've always loved that color. My stepdad had one identical to that in the mid 70's, said it was a stone until he adjusted the valves and was then the fastest car he's ever had. Congratulations.

ronzz572 01-25-2019 04:14 AM

Beautiful car. Citrus green is one of my favorite colors on 70 z28s.

ronzz572 01-25-2019 04:17 AM

Awesome car. One of my favorite colors on a 2nd gen. My 1st ride in a 70 z28 came in a twin to this car.

firstgenaddict 01-25-2019 04:25 AM

You've got a nice collection there RON, personally I am not typically a RED car guy... However I will make DEFINITELY MAKE an exception for a Cranberry Red over Saddle 1970 Z28.

MosportGreen66 01-25-2019 11:40 AM

Wasn't this for sale by Louie on Long Island Craigslist?

GrumpyJeff 01-25-2019 11:42 AM

Wow ! Nice car ! any interior shots? where was car sold new ?

L16pilot 01-25-2019 12:44 PM

Steve Shauger 01-25-2019 12:48 PM

Not sure where it was bought new, the floors and engine compartment sold me...
The fact that the floors look like the restored 73 Z28 I am currently doing made me realize that the car was WELL CARED FOR!

L16 it was built the same week as your Survivor... 05C.

Tidmack 01-25-2019 01:21 PM

With technology connecting us worldwide and the popularity/value of muscle for decades, it's sometimes difficult for me to wrap my head around the number of survivors still out there. This car keeps the flame fanned for me to keep the search going...they're still out there.

What a car to find, congratulations!

Jeff

SS427 01-25-2019 01:56 PM

WoW!

TimG 01-25-2019 02:09 PM

Wow, it looks like it just fell out of the 1970 Camaro sales brochure.

I created it over there when I started restoring the
1973 RS LT Z28 M20 3.73 Light Copper Metallic over Neutral comfort weave.

https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=114763

I knew the citrus car was nice when the floors looked like the Copper car...

mockingbird812 01-25-2019 03:01 PM

x77-69z28 01-25-2019 04:06 PM

Wow, great car and the underside is unbelievable.

L16pilot 01-25-2019 05:36 PM

"L16 it was built the same week as your Survivor... 05C."

My engine is V0506CTB...two days after yours. :) Curious what your casting date is...mine is an M-code casting date...so I literally have no idea.

cook_dw 01-25-2019 06:21 PM

Congrats on an amazing car. Are my eyes playing tricks or is it missing a body plug?

I did... off of Facebook.
That makes 2 incredibly nice survivors off of FACEBOOK...

Dave Beem's 26k mile 1969 RS/SS conv 350 A/C white white interior black top 26k mile - beautiful original car with a touched up pass front fender.

Lynn 01-26-2019 01:33 AM

What a great find. Congrats. Glad it made it into your hands. It will for sure be well taken care of.

I owned a 70 Z/28 in that color.... for two days back in 1972. Same short spoiler, but with houndstooth interior. When I suspected the car had been stolen, I took it back. Even as a 19 year old, I wanted no part of something like that.

This one looks awesome.

Can I ask where the car was located?
