1969 nova red oxide on floor
 

Restoring a 69 Nova SS notice when removing the undercoating off the floor there was red oxide primer under the undercoating it is a Willow Run car has anyone seen this before usually I've only seen them in Black not in red oxide primer.

Our December built 70 L78 Nova was undercoated when new...it has the red oxide primer under the Ziebart.

It was all over my Willow run 66 Nova, but never checked my 70. Safe to say they did it through the years at WR.

My nova is an april car and never been undercoated or repainted and there is no sign of red oxide

My 69 SS nova is a survivor car also with no undercoating and has no signs of red oxide that I can see.

My 19,000 mile 69 L78 that I have owned for 28 years does not show any red oxide on floors. It is a May car.

There are many cases of red oxide primer being used on Novas built at WR, most were black though....

My unrestored 70 L34 is all black underneath... January built car.

My 69 03 Nova black never been undercoated

Hey Mark,
Just making sure my long term memory is still solid. Glad you still have it. Wish I would have taken a look at the 1969 Camaro with a cowl hood and no fender emblems sitting next to the Nova when it was stored away in Medina...tunnel vision I guess
