Vintage Speed Part / Drag Race Stickers

1 Attachment(s)
Looking for some help on identifying a few stickers on this car. I plan to restore the car to this approximate state and need some help identifying a few of the stickers. I've done some Google searches to try to match them up with what I see, but am stuck on these listed below.
1) front fender leading edge just behind the headlight?
2) two separate stickers just ahead of the edelbrock one above the front tire?
3) sticker between the edelbrock and Hays?
4) 2 stickers above and below the TRW behind the rear tire?
5) sticker below the SS/D in the quarter window?

I think I know the rest of them. Let me know what you think.

Thanks
Jim

I believe the one under the TRW sticker on the quarter panel is a LEE sticker like so:

The one under SS/D is probably just something like this:

I think this might be a NHRA "Land of the Winners" decal with the division number on same. Those decals were shaped oblong like that and the colors appear to be the same.

Just a guess..

Your #2 question: The most forward one is A Moroso Performance arrow- link- http://www.nostalgicracingstickers.c...68886_orig.jpg
#4( top ) is also a Lee decal. “Lee Eliminators” to be exact. Here is a link- Vintage Gasser Sticker - LEE Eliminators 1970s - Empi Chevy Ford Dodge VW https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F151871796911

Also willing to bet money the sticker above the TRW sticker on your quarter panel was this LEE Eliminators sticker. Anybody who got into Elimination rounds would get an extra bump of cash from LEE (oil filters etc.) if they ran this sticker.

Man, you guys are great! Thank you!
So now I'm just down to the ones on either side of the Edelbrock.
What was the division number in the Land of the Winners based on?

It was based on what division area the car was raced out of. There is a listing of these numbers somewhere, I think it may have been posted on this site at one time. Sorry I can't locate that now.

NHRA division map
Division 3 North central division
Land of the winners

Great info! Being a southern Ohio car, this one would have been Div 3. I do know it ran at the US Nationals Indy in 1972 & 1973.

Possible the oval fender sticker is a version of this:

In my never-ending quest to identify all these stickers, I've been looking at other vintage photos hoping to find something that "looks similar". The attached photo was posted over on a different thread on Herbie's Hugger Camaro. The sticker on the front valance looks similar to the one in front of my Hays sticker on the front fender.....anyone recognize that sticker based on the Herbie's Hugger photo?

Here's a try @ expanded views of your pic, bummer it gets so blurry.
Main part looks almost muffler like w/ one inlet/outlet + full face helmet on top?
Appears to be the same decal in other H/H pics so here's a few of those too.:hmmm:
Best of luck figuring it out also thanks for the great updates in your other thread!

Thanks for the blow-ups Pete! I still can't tell what it is but your mention of a muffler is something I hadn't thought of before. With the pics you posted, I'm pretty confident it's the same sticker....maybe someone will chime in cuz the recognize it.

Through the Gambler Yenko thread, I determined the mysterious black/white sticker is a Doug Nash ProShift sticker (one on the right in the pic). The guy that raced my car in the early '70's had Doug Nash rebuild the M22 so that makes sense. Better yet, I've sourced a pair of originals from a fellow up in Ontario Canada. He has a ton of vintage stickers from the early/mid '70's. I think I'm just down to the one in front of the Edelbrock sticker on the fender. It was suggested earlier in this thread that it might be a NHRA Contestant sticker. Anyone else want to venture a guess?

Great you got your answer also cool it turned out to be Doug Nash too!

I found a few pictures showing very similar oval-shaped stickers to the one just forward of your Edelbrock. Just in front of the rear wheel on the Camaro, and on the sail panel of the Dodge.
Agree that it looks like it could be a contestant sticker. That original picture is too indistinct to be sure exactly which, but I reckon you could pick any track, event or year that you know the car competed, and then keep an eye on ebay until one pops up. Good luck!
