They beat the spread, and they clinched the division while handing Green Bay their first loss here since 2010,and they intercepted Aaron Rodgers, ending his streak....Oh,and they eliminated Green Bay officially from the playoff picture.
The Chicago Bears are Going to the Playoffs! :)

I'm just busting balls. My apologies.

I hope somehow the Eagles can beat the Saints and the Cowboys can beat the Rams.

The Cowboys would crush the Eagles. Show them no mercy. Curbs stomp them(are there curbs in Jerry World?).

Good luck in N.O.

50+ year Cowboys fan. Eagles hater supreme.

Steve Shauger 01-07-2019 12:20 AM

The Bears have an amazing future, and played a heck of a game. We got our money's worth from both teams and especially the QB's.

Charley Lillard 01-07-2019 12:24 AM

Gotta feel for the kicker.

70 Forest Green Zee 01-07-2019 02:17 PM

Feel sorry for the kicker.......why??? He got a multi year deal with 9 million guaranteed and all he had to do was kick the ball through the goal post, that's it. This piece of crap missed more field goals than the rest of the kickers in the NFL combined! If Parkey had any class, he'd give the money back but that will never happen. The Bears will can him if they haven't already, and Parkey laughs all the way to the bank with 9 mil. After management and Matt Nagy turned things around in just 1 year, the Bears and the team deserved better than what they got from Parkey....I for one don't feel the least bit sorry for him!!!

68l30 01-07-2019 02:39 PM

Parkey carries the curse of the Ol’ Browns with him....

BIG

Ball was tipped by Hester, was not the kickers fault. Football is a team game, if you think about it the D should not have given up the last TD and the O should have scored more than 15 points.

Mr70 01-07-2019 04:16 PM

I personally enjoyed seeing these two battle in person. It was one of the most exciting games ever @ Soldier Field & you couldn't ask for a better playoff match up.
Bears were a 6.5 pt. favorite with a 42 over/under,the final score of 16-15 says it all.
We were all surprised how low scoring the game was.Everyone all day on both sides in the stands kept saying.."Oh This is going to be a close one".
If were pointing fingers, did some of you forget that Parkey made 9 of the Bears points?
Why didn't we get touchdowns on all those drives? Not to mention that the Eagles tipped the ball before it hit the uprights.

The game should've never been that close by Vegas odds or come down to a field goal to decide it.Both the Bears & Eagles are top notch teams, but had their brain fart moments, like clock management,(not to mention the refereeing),and had many chances to blow the other out @ certain times.
I loved how it kept going back & forth. Here's hoping the Eagles take down the Saints as 8 pt. underdogs.. :beers:

What I want to know is,where the hell were the Baltimore Ravens yesterday?

70 Forest Green Zee 01-07-2019 04:38 PM

Bottom line is that Parkey was being paid to kick field goals and extra points and he can't most of the time. The Bears should have cut him loose after he missed 4 in one game, then maybe yesterdays game would have had a different outcome. I understand why they didn't boot him at that time, Bears were to heavily invested in him, but now they will can him anyway and eat the loss. The team can't cary a kicker they have no confidence in, that's why they went for 2 point conversions more often that not this year......I'd be real surprised if Parkey ever kicks another ball in the NFL but with 9 mil in the bank, he won't have to....bout time pro athletes contracts are structured so the player gets paid according to how he performs!

SBR 01-07-2019 04:47 PM

^ Again, the ball was tipped but I agree that Parkey has had major issues this year. I agree that he probably should have been cut earlier in the year but they had too much $$ invested. You could see that Nagy did not trust him as he took a shot on 3rd down with 15 seconds left. Can you imagine if Trubisky threw a pick or there was a penalty? Nagy would have been crucified! If there is someone to blame, I put it on the management. If you don't trust Parkey, cut him!

Charley Lillard 01-07-2019 05:38 PM

I still feel for the kicker. :-)

Yes that game was very exciting and had my chest pounding several times during the course of the game. Rick thanks for supporting the Eagles and it will be a huge challenge this coming weekend. We were underdogs all of last year playoff so hopefully that will continue. The Bears are an exciting young club that will go very far next year..... Sounds like you really enjoyed the game, and the atmosphere and energy must have been awesome!!!

"What I want to know is,where the hell were the Baltimore Ravens yesterday?"

...I dunno...but they weren't in Baltimore....

From my perspective, for the past two weeks, the Chargers went to work and devised a plan how to disassemble the Raven's running game....which left the Ravens' O with...well...nothing.

I thought their freshman receiver #8 Ross was amazing as well. That one handed catch on the sideline was spectacular. Clemson has built quite a team, although they will lose a lot of key players on defense next year...

Well, the Cowboys got their(ain't no "we" when they suck that bad) guts stomped out by the Rams so I guess I'll jump on the KC bandwagon. I always liked Andy Reid.

Who are you fellas taking?

I wish Jerry Jones would fire his GM and head coach. Dak is not the answer either. Too bad Jerry is about to drop a huge contract on him.

Mr70 01-14-2019 11:50 PM

Boy I was really hoping the Eagles were going to upset the Saints.Sure looked that way after the 1st Q Steve.

southernfriedcj 01-15-2019 12:18 AM

That 14-0 run had me worried.
I wanted a Cowboys-Eagles NFC Championship game in Dallas, but after the Cowboys lost I wanted the Eagles to lose. The heartbreaker INT with 2:00 left was icing on the cake.
