You can get a hold of Jerry M on his site Camararo High Performance. He certified atleast 10 of my cars over the years, but I live nearby his place. I think it would be expensive unless he happens to be in your area, because he will charge travel expense I believe. |

Deuce...
I would call Marlin....he should know best steps to take.

Marlin is who I would pay to get me a Deuce Certificate. He is Yenko Deuce Registry. Nobody has promoted them more than him.
|
Marlin x3 and has been offering his documentation and assistance for 20 plus years.

im sorry
new to all this part!!!! have been speaking to marlin about all kinds other stuff & part numbers and had zero idea he did Deuce Certificates??? i will e-mail him and ask what is involved thank you guys regards chris |
Thanks all for the votes of confidence, but I've never once put a Deuce certification onto paper. I've left that service to the two guys who were already in that space looong before I came along; Jerry McNeish and Ed Cunneen. My input and observations are done just for the love of these cars, and I never wanted to take bread off anyone's table....

OK.....Let me rephrase it. I would take a letter from Marlin over any other .

What Charley said.
|
Ask Schonye. He is also a Deuce man.

Was your car sold in Canada? Would the GM docs have it on file if it sold there new ?
|
Chris,
I would suggest you start by documenting everything you do with the car from tear down to rebuild including pictures of all original parts, parts restoration, panel markings and any crayon marks available anywhere on the car. Keep in touch with Marlin and document everything you learn from him and others on the unique nuances of the Yenko Deuce. Start with a call to George Zappora at Vintage Services to check the VIN and see if the car was sold through a Canadian dealer by chance? If it was then there will be a paper trail and build details available. If not then contact NCRS to find the dealer code which was probably Yenko in your case and get that document for the car showing its original origin and dealer. If you want to pay Jerry McNeish to go through your car you can likely commission him to come up to Ontario to document your car and issue a certificate of originality as to what it is, what has been retained and grade it's overall condition. Might be best to do that twice while restoring it so he can see it before, and after completion which will grade it's originality and well as the level of restoration when complete. Once the car is verified/certified as a true Yenko Deuce I am sure it can be added to the registry if not already there? You can also contact Ed Cuneen to enquire about certifying a Yenko through email at: [email protected] I would lean towards Ed and Marlin myself as they are 2 of the best in my view. Marlin is one of the best people in the hobby to converse and learn from when it comes to these cars, so take what he can share with you and take lots of notes. You're on the right trail by the sounds of it. |

Great looking car you have there Chris. I like the fact it is not being restored and just cleaned up, and really dig the old Firestone's on the back.

hi graeme
thanks so much......really appreciate your thoughts this is the car i was asking you to help find the radiator for when i bought the car robert kampon had put early 1970's centrelines on it (which i still have), and put these "Y" rims in storage. was lucky they were still with the car when i bought it! robert sent me pics of the car when he first got it and a few years later with the other wheels i am going to listen to marlin on the clean-up restoration. i have numerous other classic cars ive done complete rotisserie restorations on.....and it is very very very hard to restrain and NOT strip/ re-paint every part.......... and to just remove , clean gently and re-install back on the car it is very easy for guys like you and me to "get carried away"...LOL i have another 1970 citrus green 4 spd nova sold at central chev in london ont that im working on. 15000 orig miles that is the car im going to put the "M/T scavenger" headers you had made in the US on so i will be calling him in a few weeks to get them going have a great day graeme (hope i spelled that correct?) regards chris |
Both real nice cars Madden. Original cars are the best!

thx for the kind words
regards chris |
Love CG in a Deuce. Thanks for background and pix! Be advised quite a few Deuces do NOT show up on NCRS including my old "Roof Deuce".

hi
thanks for the kind words regarding my car. i saw my first yenko deuce on the cover of super chevy (reggies) i had never heard of yenko novas before that?? from that day on i read everything i could on them i started with a 396 375 hp 1969 nova at 14 years old and restored it, and at 19 years old i won one of canadas largest indoor car shows with it that was it ......and the bug bite had taken as i read about the yenko deuces i fell in love with the citrus green...but every one i came across for sale was not a colour i REALLY loved or it was an automatic....which would not work for me either. that just my preference.... then out of the blue a friend put me onto this citrus deuce and it was going to be mine im going to see if marlin will do the certification doc for my car.....i already on what the car is......i would just like the certificate of authenticity for my files your car is also beautiful. i followed and read your restoration story recently. it has helped me greatly with many items by reading your threads and seeing pics im doing well with the few little non-number matching parts my car was missing. only part giving me a hard time is the 4 spd "VK" code radiator. dont know if you have any connections or leads on one? thanks again so very much regards chris |
Marlin has forgotten more about Deuces than anyone else has even learned yet.
