Have a few day 2 vibes going on with the 69 Chevelle

Fun stuff. The fresh built L78 sounds pretty sweet with the headers, and with cutouts open it is pretty sick.
Got the vintage blue light Sun gauges from a member here. They work great even the temp gauge. Had to get the right sending unit. |
Very nice! Like to see more of that car...

Nice work!

Love it!!!:cool2:

What brand cutouts did you go with?
|
Got the car home tonight. Drove 39 miles new engine ran out fine. Helmut will post up new pics now that the suspension is all back to stock and it’s not so jacked up. Sporting those Ansens you tipped me too.
Cutouts are Granatelli from JEGS. |
Nice

LOVE THE SLOTS...
Thinking about getting a set mounted with some WIDE OVAL Radials for my Corvette... My 69 Chevelle SS 396 was Garnet with a black bench as well... brings back memories! |
Car looks perfect with those 5-slots. Very nice!

Thanks guys.
The car is clearly in need of love in other areas but the drivetrain and chassis are now restored and fun to drive in whatever weather, and I can park it anywhere. I can't do that with my other cars...something to be said about that I guess? I love the way the solid lifter BB runs, so much fun. I do like the M20 3:31 combo. Still on the look out for a nice dated KK rear end. Am looking at a nice one now but dated a tad early for the car. IMO this car deserves to be restored one day. |
