Gorgeous '67 Caprice 396/3-spd Stick Wagon, Orig Everything

Talk about your time capsule. Must have been one of a very small number ordered with these options, and the level of preservation is really top notch IMO.

I guess those rallys aren't original, but everything else seems to be stone stock down to the paint and dealer decal.

Is that car amazing.......... I love it. Looks like a three on the tree.

Bill Pritchard 07-04-2018 04:31 PM

I'd bet money that's a one-of-one......396, posi, manual steering & brakes, HD 3 speed manual trans, HD clutch, radiator & fan......on a Caprice wagon????? Crazy cool.

Has the original wheelcovers so it must be drum brakes. Hope they're the simulated wires or N96s. Sell the Rallys and put the original covers back on!

Neat car for sure. Curious - why $79.00 for the 3 spd manual? Would the 2 spd pwr glide have been the standard trans? Always thot that if you go the manual route behind a 396 that the 3spd was standard and no additional cost.

Love the license plate number...even I can remember that one! :)

Sam, This car has the optional HD 3 speed manual. The non-HD 3 speed manual would have been the base transmission, with the HD 3 speed, 4 speed, PG and T400 optional at extra cost. As I mentioned in a previous post, this car - as equipped - has to be a one-of-one.

I've seen that wagon in person at multiple local shows and can attest to its quality and preservation. Fantastic wagon.

Super cool.
