Period correct line lock button???

What should one expect to pay for a period correct Hurst line lock button for 1969 ?
Are they difficult to find?

Thanks
Bernhard

----Bernhard,,, What kind of steering wheel do you have? In Re Alert the original owner, Bob Hamilton hooked the line lock up to the horn button on the stock 70 Chevelle wheel. Worked great, but that was a Turbo 400 as well.......Bill S

I bought one for my car last year and think it was around $250 USD as part of a group buy if I recall. NOS in the box with a cherry looking switch, the little red indicator light and the older type solenoid. Circa 1970's

I'm going to be running the factory standard wheel.

$250 was a steal for that NOS line lock......IMO

I think I sold that line lock button for $50 alone......and it was used.

I'm not 100% on the dates, But I'm pretty sure the black lineloc button and that solenoid is early/mid 1970's, The late 60's solenoid is longer and the button is chrome plated plastic , otherwise the same as the black one.....

The Hurst kit used on Grady's Copo is what I would call period correct to the day where it has the earlier type solenoid from the 60's, but also uses the same black button and light module seen on his car below. I think the only thing that changed between the 2 kits was the type of solenoid with one being from the sixties and the one I have which was typically found during the 70's. I'm not sure when the changeover occurred so maybe someone can find that in an old Hurst catalog showing the parts listing? Was the chrome switch just another kit # perhaps? Looks like the same exact switch to me, only one is black versus the other being chromed plastic?

Rob's got all the cool stuff stashed away...don't you Rob? I prefer the black switch myself. :3gears:

This is the 1st generation that came with chrome button, circa 1965ish.

You can see in the other pic, the red button is different between the two. The area around the little decal also has a different relief in the plastic.

Ouch...guess I did get a deal on the kit I bought last year. Seems like most of the Day II stuff has been climbing away with its popularity the past while.

Nice nos Hurst line lock thanks for posting.
That is out of my league but a good reference point for pricing.
