Yenko SC 2018 Silverado
7200 lbs!
Maybe a 4 door "towing package" version of this would be an option for guys spending 70 to 80K on a new Silverado Duramax
Hard to believe you can buy a 800 hp new pickup for 47K
Wow that’ll roast some tires!
Pretty cool truck, love the hounds-tooth interior, but I'd rather have an extended cab even if it was just with jump seats in the back.
----No way a half ton Silverado weighs that much,,,NO WAY! I doubt it weighs 5000lbs. Also agree with Charley about the price. Really neat ride though.....Bill S
For scary comparisons Shelby super snake had 800 horsepower in a 2,200 pound chassis. Can you imagine how scary that was. 800 horsepower in a 5,000 pound truck... a walk in the park

Maybe they upgraded the rear from the 8.6" diff and have something like a 9.5, 10.5 or 11.5 out of the heavier trucks. That would add some weight, but deliver much better reliability.
That’s a lot of truck for the $$$$$! I too love the upgraded seats!

No way are you going to buy it in the 40's. I'm guessing alot of bad info in that article. |
7200 lbs? Seems people often confuse the GVWR with the actual vehicle weight.
Neat truck. Though, nothing appeals to me more than the SRT/10 with a manual. |
I think that truck will be 65,000-70,000 if only 25 are to be made
The silverado is all of 5500-5700 lbs. The Ford F150 Shelby is 500+ lbs lighter and almost same hp. And its been out for years.

Or you can buy a new F150 5.0 shortbed 2wd 3.55 geared and throw a tune on it and run 12.7's with out even changing the tires and only spending half what the Chevy costs and you will have enough to toss on a blower and smoke the Chebby .
This is my buddys 2018 F150 and its a 12.7 legit with just a tune. Stock puny tires even . |
LOL, I'd still rather have the Chevy with an LS.
The silverado is $46,000 over the price of the truck. + another $2500 of the seats. so its $48,500 + $37,000 for a base truck. Total is about $85,500 if you wanna play
Or you can buy a new 650 hp Lightning F150 for $50k. Just giving you an alternative. No doubt the Silverado is way cool https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-car...150-lightning/

I would really like to buy a new Chevy or GMC truck. I looked at the 100th anniversary chevies last week, I really like the emblems as well as the rest of the truck. I just bought a new work van so it's not something I can justify but they sure are nice. Maybe I could add a procharger to my 05 Hemi Sport truck to ease my pain & suffering....

Just wondering what became of the 800HP 2018 Yenko Silverados SVE announced earlier this year? 25 were announced available, have any been sold/built/delivered? :hmmm: ~ Pete . |
