Dream Cruise

I'm surprised nobody is posting about it yet. Anyone going or already went? I'm heading down tomorrow.

HawkX66 08-16-2017 09:01 PM

 We'll see where we end up.

scuncio 08-17-2017 05:29 AM

If you want to drive about 60 miles, come on up to Flint on Saturday for Back To The Bricks. Should be at least a thousand cars here for the show. My Hot-Rod is a feature car that will be sitting next to the stage for the Friday night concert.

HawkX66 08-17-2017 11:12 AM

Figures... 70% chance of rain and lightning. Do you guys think there will still be some cars out? Worth going?
I've heard good things about back to the bricks Tony, but I din't think we're going to make it up there. Congrats on the feature!

----If the weather agrees Ill be down in Ferndale this afternoon as my Grand Prix was chosen to be on a PBS TV show with Bob Lutz as the announcer. The show airs tonight if things don't get rained out.......Bill S

----69, Keith! It was a members car pick a while back. Looked it up and its on page 12. Espresso Brown SJ with pretty much every available option. Had it at MCACN two years ago.......Bill S

HawkX66 08-17-2017 07:22 PM

Well, that answers that... Lightning and rain. Sorry guys. We'll see what happens Saturday if I don't end up working. The day wasn't lost anyway. Nice breakfast with my youngest son, helped a couple of buddies get their 57 TBird and 65 GTO going and finally picked up some 16ga steel to build rockers on my Expedition that shouldn't need them yet...

Weather was phenomenal. I'm not sure why we even try to predict it around here.

Saturday and Sunday were beautiful. I take what the forecasters say with a grain of salt... Thursday it was thundering and lightning where I was.

I wish I had a job where I could be wrong most of the time and still get paid.

Seems like this year they have been especially bad.

I was in town for a week doing some adventuring. Here's all the pics I shot from the week. The Dream Cruise pics are basically Day 8 and 9

The son of an acquaintance from a Facebook Group I'm in (First Gen Camaro Connection) was hit by a drunk driver in his modded RX-7 last week. Tragically, his fiancé was killed in the accident, and he's hospitalized. Terribly sad situation.
