Pleasantly surprised by this one. One lady owner. 1971 Cutlas Supreme Convertible. 350 4Barrel 4 speed. Window sticker / protectoplate / maintenance receipts. Nicest original dent free / rustfree original paint car I have ever seen. Chrome / interior like new. Pint is remarkable. 37k original. Drives like new.

Kool Cutlass!

Very nice. Love those olds interiors and this convertible with a 4 speed! Congrats!!
Nice find, Dave. You've always had a knack finding cool cars.
Rag top and a 4 speed...doesn't get much better than that!Congrats!
396 Cutlass Supremes built with the M20 4-speed. Info from the GM Heritage Center.
How many convertibles with that config.?
Thanks guys. Put about 100 miles on it this weekend. All i can say is wow. This lady really took care of this car. I'll get some doc pics up soon. The protectoplate is about a 3" square plastic card. Different than Chevy cars. Anyone know where the build sheet would likely be? I hate to start dismantling this thing for no reason. :) Spent the weekend cleaning paste wax from emblems / etc. She did tell me when she bought the car she wanted a 442 convertible and her husband said that was to much power. She said she replied "bullshit. " Too funny.

The last w-30 I owned, I found one under the back seat bottom, and another one in the pass seat upper back. Really nice car btw.
Wow, what a great car, thanks for sharing:)
She does not look happy in that picture! ;)
Really nice car, congratulations! |
Super cool car! My dads 70 sx supreme convert had the remains of a BS under the back seat bottom.
Nice Car...is that a cortez silver or what is the paint color name....saw a tint of green in it, maybe just the photo.....
ED, it is silver, title says gray. I need to decode the trim tag and post it. The Boss: She just got done mowing 4 acres. :) Busy lady for her age. She told me noone changed the oil in that car but her. One of a kind lady for sure. Hard working to say the least. Appreciate all the comments. I am finding that buildsheet when I get home. Dont need it, but want it. :)

Very Cool!

Very nice car! I doubt there is anyone who likes Oldsmobiles more than me, and you'll soon see why. The more you drive that car the more you will like it. Great find! Please let me know if you decide to sell.

trunk. Didnt want to lift up mat as some of the backing was sticking. I was thinking a steamer might release it? Anyone have any tricks? Splatter paint looks new.
Don't tear your car apart looking for the tradional build sheet as we know it (like a Chevy build sheet). It won't be there as Lansing-built cars don't have them and according to the VIN on your P-O-P your fine car was assembled in Lansing.
My friend found a build sheet in his '71 Cutlass Supreme, but it was a Framingham-built car.
DWS31S, Thanks for that info! I wondered about that. I wasnt going any further on the search. The window sticker and POP will do just fine. :) Awaiting vintage pics of the car, not that car will look any different!
Awesome car...
Wow, that is a very nice car!
Congrats! What an amazing time capsule. I love the 4 speed and rag top.
