Thank you Kasey (pusherman) for being nice enough to take all the videos!!
Enjoy the videos, talk smack or make fun of my short comings.. But remember I was the ONLY car that drove 70 plus miles up to the track in the rain. RACED. And drove another 70 miles back home after the banquet. :scholar: :Charley: :beers: cwc vs nugeusa1 Nuge edges out Chris for the win. 69 Post Sedan vs cook_dw Kurt spanks my butt as I fall on my face out of the hole and miss 2nd. 61vert vs GrumpysToy That F word is pretty quick!!:beers: JBALL vs sYc Fast Bird Sorry I didnt know the owner/driver of this one. cwc vs cook_dw Chris bustin' my tail and me again having issues as the thing died and didnt wanna start but then fired... That badass Nova probably scared the poop out of my slow Camaro.. Not sure what is going on with it but the driver and car need a lot of work.. Heck I thought I broke; hence me opening the door.. lol :bs: 69 Post Sedan vs nugeusa1 cwc vs sYc cook_dw vs 69 Post Sedan Clutch slipped baaaaad on this pass and again missed 2nd.. Kurt is a heck of a driver and I was embarrassed for him to have to run next to my crap.. GrumpysToy vs nugeusa1 MASCAR solo run Baddest AMC Ive ever seen.. JBALL vs nugeusa1 Nuge's ole L78 Camaro runs pretty good for a stock long block.. :dunno: |
Big thanks Darell for posting Kaseys videos and thanks Kasey for making said videos.Nuge ran me down like I was tied to a tree, that red camaro pulls like a freight train once it hooks up! its never even had a timing light hooked to it.

Great stuff, Darrell

Unfortunately the weather was not on our side. The rain was so bad that they shut the track down before anyone could get a run in. Our main goal was to have some seat time to bug this new build out. Around 2:00 PM they opened the track and we got a couple of hits in before the rain came back at us. At 85 degrees temp and 95 percent humidity we got a 9.20 at 146 out of her. the That factors to a 8.92 at 150 if it was in good weather. Its also needs more converter and less intake Plenum. So I am very pleased with our build. its has 8.50s in her, when she is dialed. It was very nice seeing a lot of great people. And I can't stop thinking about that amazing food that our buddy Jason cooked.

That blue RS 69 COPO Camaro has to be my favorite car at the event. What a sexy car!!

Tom was driving hopefully he will chime in. It was doing it every pass I watched. Seemed to be fine running wise. Maybe blow by on decel. :dunno:

That was me (Tom) in the Yellow sub.
If you are talking about the video where I deep staged (turned off the top bulb), I had not raced the Yellow sub in years, and I am used to a tranny brake rather then foot braking. When it moved I was surprised I did not turn on the red bulb. If talking about the ETs, the first pass I simply messed up by not realizing the sub has three forward speeds versus two in the Deuce, which I normally race. The second pass, which was a solo pass and not on here, I ran a 12.472 @ 112.87, and would have been 2-3 tenths quicker, but for some reason the sub was slow getting into second. I thought maybe I had just stayed in second too long, but during the next pass it would not engage second at all. Don’t know if it is the shifter (’70s vintage) or something in the trans. When we get the shifter/trans sorted out I think Rob can get it back into the 11s. |

I don't think it is hurt. I too noticed the smoke on the big end and as I pulled onto the return road I checked my gauges only to see ZERO oil pressure. I stopped as soon as I could to check things, of course expecting oil everywhere when I raised the hood. Nothing, not even a drop underneath or behind. Dip stick read full. By this time other racers stopped to check on me and help. We finally noticed the line to the oil pressure gauge was dangling loose. After several minutes of looking, we decided it had not come loose but rather had not been hooked up. A call from the pits to Rob resulted in"..oh. I forgot to tell you it wasn't hooked up". Now you tell me...LOL
I drove it back to the pits and into and out at the museum and all seemed to be fine. My guess is the trans problem and over reving contributed to the smoke. |

Awesome pics DW -- thanks for sharing and taking the time to post.
Don't think I've ever seen a Camaro w/yellow interior like that -- someone was thinking outside the box ... purrrdddyyy. Does anyone know if the yellow on the Deuce is Code 52? Thanks ... TAZ :biggthumpup::beers::beers: |
I didn't take them. That was Craig. I just helped posting.

Yeah Taz I went crazy ... but I am sure Dennis has me beat on the amount of photos. I still have another 135 just from inside of the corvette museum also. Darrell said he would post these so that everyone could enjoy them on my behalf.
Thanks Darrell |
The yellow deuce belongs to Shoenyenko2 ...
