1987 GTA Trans Am 6K original miles!!!!!

1 owner before me, tons of paperwork. Original invoice, window sticker, all service records, original temp tag. Won't find a cleaner more original car. Original Gaterbacks still on it with no dry rot, so flat spotting but goes away when you drive. Never in rain or snow, loaded up hardtop (rare). Car is a time capsule. No front plate bracket ever drilled into the bumper. This is the L98 350 CI motor. Better pics to follow if anyone is seriously interested.
Looking for about 25k for it |
Gorgeous! GLWS!

Thank you, wish I had more space but something has to go.
|
a beauty!

Thanks guys, it really is like buying a brand new GTA with all the good options.
|
Can you post a picture of the SPID, (the RPO sticker located in the console)? Thanks!
|
Sure, no problem, I will go down to the garage I store it tomorrow and get a pic of that and post it.

wow, a hardtop AND cloth seats ... the only one better would be those plus a clutch pedal ... :-)
that is a NICE car, quiet as no t-top noise issues and the seats won't roast you. IF I bought one new in 1987 it would be this one (assuming I wanted a 350) GLWS, awesome car!!!! |
Good looking car. GLWS
|
Added the label inside the console as requested

Nice. KC4 oil cooler and performance axle ratio, (3.27).

not an attempt to hijack this thread in any way, I just love the maroon GTA, Firebirds, f bodies
This is a shot from March 1989 in Kingman, AZ, two GM chassis engineers (yes, they were "company" cars from the Proving Grounds - hence the AZ Manufacturer plates) and moi' on our way to a SCCA Pro Solo in Las Vegas. It looks like the GTA was loaded with race tires IIRC the maroon car was an LB9 manual and the IROC was a L98, both with N-10 dual cats and performance axles |
that's a great pic
|
Cool pic Jim!

Oh man, when I graduated college in '87 and was headed to USAF flight school I wanted one of these bad. 24K was too rich for my new lieutenant pay so I settled on a new 5.0 LX for half the money. I do remember looking at one of these in the Pontiac dealer's showroom and trying to make the numbers work. Beautiful car! GLWS.
