Re: 1965 corvette L79 w/ac
Thanks This car belonged to John Kennedy.John was the NCRS national judge for corvette interior and convertible tops. He passed away 4 years ago And I purchased the car from his family. He purchased it around 1980 out of phoenix. He always said this was one of his best cars and this was the one he would drive to cruise night. He had 9 to pick from.

Re: 1965 corvette L79 w/ac
L76 was available with ac as well. 365 hp solid lifter..that and 72 LT1 were the only solid lifter cars available with ac..the air cleaner on this car is actually a 365hp..350 hp is open element...nice car

Isn't open element relative for 67 L79? 65/6 had the chrome one as seen on this car I thought. Seems like 67 was the first year for any Gm product to have an open element.... could be wrong. If so I'd like to know since my dad has a 67 and 65 L79 cars and his air cleaners are as described above |
Re: 1965 corvette L79 w/ac
I will have to research the air cleaner.I thought this was the correct air cleaner Its been on this car since the first time I saw it in 1983.

Re: 1965 corvette L79 w/ac
The air cleaner on my car is correct. I thought it was. I just wanted to make sure before I said it was.https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...4-img_1595.jpg
