G series Delco batteries are what you put in used cars in the summer..... if you are selling the car tomorrow. Very limited on CCA's.

Thanxs Jeff for bringing it to my attention. I did end up buying the G55 for it the closest battery to the Y55 in appearance with the reverse polarity terminals. I'll remove the green and only paint the caps yellow and it will look good. Beats a Topper!!!

Still will consider a Y55 if someone has a correct one.

Ed,
Their battery doesn't have Energizer just Delco, so its a Service Replacement therefore not totally correct and out of my price range anyway....LOL

Your battery is also missing the Energizer so its a Service Replacement

It has a date on the top if you don't want it I can use it for my Chevelle they don't repop these

Yes they don't repop them, but yesterday I made a clone Y55 battery with the reverse polarity and all since I couldn't find one. Here is a picture of it installed in my 68 Z and it actually looks pretty good. lol https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...55_battery.jpg
