Re: Nova reverse lockout
Jim, have you had time to look for this?
|
Re: Nova reverse lockout
Yes, I found a bunch, give me a couple days to get some pics. I think they are different for BB and SB, assuming you need BB.?
|
Re: Nova reverse lockout
No, small block 350/300hp 4-speed muncie.
|
Re: Nova reverse lockout
I believe BB and SB are the same. The rod is different.

Assembly manual and Chevrolet parts manual confirm that the swivel mechanism and the upper rod are the same for 69 Camaro with Muncie 4 speed and the 69 thru 72 Nova with Muncie 4 speed. The rod that goes from the swivel back to the transmission is Nova specific (not the same as 69 Camaro), and has a different part number depending on whether it is for a big block or small block application. |
Re: Nova reverse lockout

Re: Nova reverse lockout
Jim, from what I understand the one for a 4-speed muncie only bolts to the frame in 2 spots (like the pic I posted)
not 3 |
Re: Nova reverse lockout
You may be right Donnie, I think I have some with a 2 bolt flange, will look for those
|
Re: Nova reverse lockout
Jim, yours may be off a Nova, but the Muncie one would have come with a swivel post that only has two legs. Yours look more like powerglide or turbo.
Here is what one for a 4-speed needs to look like. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...va_swivel1.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...va_swivel2.jpg |
Re: Nova reverse lockout
I believe I have some of those, have to go back to the pile and check. Thx for the clarification
