Re: 1967 Chevelle 300/427
I know GM didn't ever build any of these car but I wanted it to look like it would have had GM built them.

Mick,
Fantastic taste in cars....you can hang with me anything Now I am very curious as to what your are building next. Stop by the Day2 Showcase at MCACN and you can tell me all about it Dan |

Re: 1967 Chevelle 300/427
It is my understanding a limited number of engines were produced and urban legend say a few pre-production cars were actually made
Colvin's book lists the engine for 1971 and I've seen other literature showing the engine as an option that was 'cancelled' very early before any cars were built. Here are a couple of links that discuss this very topic... http://www.chevelles.com/forums/45-c...454-425-a.html https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...opics/404475/1 Those #026 heads have to be a pretty rare item... -wilma |
Re: 1967 Chevelle 300/427

Only in 1969 the SS396 was available on a base line 300 Deluxe model in either a Hardtop (coupe) or a 2 Door Post Sedan Model. Dan |
Still for sale?
|
I would love to see more and hear more about your '61 Catalina :D
Dan |
I don't normally comment. Good or Bad on cars listed as For Sale... That's just me.
This is a Gorgeous car. It's that simple. Love it! Mike |
The Chevelle sold last fall. Thanks for the compliments. As far as the 61 Pontiac Catalina it is expected out of the paint shop anytime now after all it is only 14 months past the promise date. The Catalina is a 389 original motor, tri power 4 speed, black exterior and red interior, knock offs and wide whites, radio delete, heater delete I think, I haven't decided for sure on the heater yet. I have 2 other Catalina bubbletops in line to do and I know the next one is going to be delete everything with slicks, dog dish, super duty hood scoop and factory headers etc.

Correction to previous post 8 lugs not knock offs.
|
Im still kickin myself for not buying the L79 68 Chevelle !!!
