68 Camaro Z/28 19438L316937 Orphan Block
 

Anyone know this car? I bought the block today. It came as a complete long block with 1970 3927186 2.02/1.60 heads. It also had the original oil pan, timing cover, and balancer. The engine was built as a 350. If the owner is out there looking for the original block please let me know.

I'm not sure how I goofed on the VIN in the title. Would a moderator mind changing the totle to the correct VIN, 124378L316937?

How far away were the car and original lump from each other also being a '68, do you know what if anything the owner had proving it was a real Z-28?

Where I found the block was about 20 miles away fr where the car now resides. The owner knew it was a Z but has no docs. The car still has the 6k tach, cowl plenum hole, 4 leaf springs, etc. it is always exciting to get parts to the right home.

Thanks guys. I didn't see the car. He said it was originally Grecian Green with black deluxe interior. I think he said it was an RS as well.

The car was still registered. I got his address and sent him a letter including a picture of the block pad. A couple days later the phone rang. We only live about an hour apart so he drove down as soon as he could and we loaded it up.
