Re: COPO body # 3514XX
Canadian Copo, 351473, tag stolen off car, for sale on Ebay. Tag may have never been re-united with the car after longtime owner died. Most of the cars purchased from estate by Columbus Ohio/Daytona Beach FL dealer. The Copo was resold by the dealer, N661300, Leman Blue console automatic, low mile car.

I have 351473 belonging to N661364 but I think that information is from the Ebay auction so I can't say for sure if it's correct. I have 661300 as a Canadian car but no other details. |
Re: COPO body # 3514XX
In my Supercar Photographs thread above I have photos of N661300 as car #14 on page 2. I saw this car at the Auctions America Auction in Auburn IN in September of 2011. I don't have a picture of the trim tag, but I wrote down that the body number was NOR351473 and that it was an X44D80 car built on 06A. It was advertised as having 21K miles and being a numbers matching car that was documented with a POP and GM of Canada documentation. I have that it sold for $176K. If I remember correctly the purchaser at the auction was into exotics and didn't know much about muscle cars.
I don't have anything on N661364. |

I don't have anything on N661364. </div></div> I have the N661364 as the 71 71 color, 06A and X44D80 with motor T0528MN but I think that information all came from the Ebay auction. I think there is another rebodied COPO that is 351472 or 351474 that is a Canadian car as well. Makes you wonder if somebody got some Canadian information years ago and did something creative. I'm not sure what information is correct at this point so if someone knows for sure, I would like to update my info. |

Re: COPO body # 3514XX
i have in my notes "car crushed ex race car"
|
Re: COPO body # 3514XX
Are you saying that 661364 was an ex race car that was crushed? I have N661041 - NOR351471 which is Cortez Silver as a rebody. I have N661324 - NOR351468 which is Fathom Green as a question mark. I have N657867 - NOR351477 which is the ex S. Sandlin Rallye Green car. I also have N660606 which is the ex F. Naples Daytona Yellow car which would be in this range of body numbers as well. These are all Canadian sold cars.

Re: COPO body # 3514XX
I thought N661041 was NOR351472 or NOR351474 but I see now it's 351471 and that's the rebody I was referring to. I wonder which car 351473 really belongs to, N661300 or N661364 (I have it with 364).

Re: COPO body # 3514XX
Where did the body numbers start and end for Norwood June built cars?? My (Z) is a Norwood June built car with body number 354707 with a 6611xx vin. I know all June built Norwood plant cars were stamped 06A for i have never seen, but 06A trim tags. Some vin numbers above are higher than mine with lower body numbers, what's up with that?? Either those are wrong or mine is...

Re: COPO body # 3514XX
Body numbers at Norwood were not sequential like the VIN numbers were.
from CRG: In 69, the body number was assigned when the order was accepted, not when the body when built. Body numbers from cars that were built at the same time can vary significantly, depending on how quickly the order was fulfilled. |
Re: COPO body # 3514XX
Thanks for the info Mike. I was a little worried that my TT was changed out.
