Stance 66-67's should have

Re: Near perfect Camaro look
Really dig the way stuff sat back then. Not too much on the ultra-deep dish sticking out of the wheel wells, though. The '60s & '70s Super Stockers (pre-mini tub) is the look I really like. Gotta have a nice tall, thin front wheel/tire combo to fill the front wheel opening, too.

Re: Near perfect Camaro look
Those last two are exactly how I remember cars looking in the early 1980s when I first started getting interested in cars. In fact, my first ever ride in a BBC 4-speed car was in a '66 SS396 looked a whole lot like the one pictured above, Cragars and all, except it was red oxide primer. One ride at 12 yrs old is all it took to get me hooked.

This car is from Iceland. 67 Camaro RS/SS. Love the tires too, but I couldn't find out who produces them. I have many pictures of this car and other cool cars from Iceland. |

Great look and stance. Back in the day muscle cars had mudflaps and SS Camaros were still adorned with louvers and not those infernal belly button cowl hoods..

And some of them didn't have any (GASP!!!) spoilers. |

Re: Near perfect Camaro look
Funny you guys say that. My '69 Camaro SS 396 ex-NHRA SS/H (977 miles) was built with the SS hood and no spoilers....and two tone paint. The day Bill Izykowski drove it off the lot at Reedman Chevrolet back to New Jersy, it was taken apart for the race car transformation. First two changes besides having Duffy's do the engine?? In his terms, add the "Cold Air Hood" and front and rear spoilers. Oh well, I still like it!
