Munson Yenko Camaro
I have to ask one more time if anybody can help
I purchased a light blue Yenko Camaro with black vinyl top from my friend Thurmond Munson before he died in a plane crash. 427, four on the floor with cue ball grip, white striping, all yenko badges, a " in memory of Thurmond Munson Yankees #15" etched into the glass in a circle in both side rear Windows. The car may have a cartoon of Thurmond in a Yankees uniform with or without his wife and kids. A copy of the cartoon use to hang in Thurmond's house in Ohio (I gave it to Diana his wife). The car was popular in the early eighties and made appearances in car shows, mags, etc.and even at a few stadiums. The car was being held for me when a severe injury accrued and it was not returned nor told where it has been held. It is possible that any of the features on the car could have been changed (I would hope not!) If you have any info, seen the car, or even remember seeing it, or know the whereabouts Please contact me at thank you! If the pic went through, this is a photo of a similar looking car The car may or may not have the mechanical light covers on the front Thanks again Frank Costa |

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
So you don't have any pics of the car or any paperwork ? If you bought it you should have the Title with the vin.

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
With a VIN, we may be able to help.

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
I doubt any proof will be shown here since there was no proof shown in this other thread.

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
He says car was being held for him. You could take it as he owned the car and someone was watching it for him or the car was being held for him to purchase from his friend. Not crystal clear to me anyways.

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
Yes, looks like this topic was brought up on a few occasions:

Thank you. !

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
Frank, I think everyone needs to understand more about the situation and whether or not you have access to the VIN to help. This place is awesome with lots of guys willing to help someone such as yourself out, but I think they need a little more information. Best of luck.

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
The car was being stored for me and other cars spread across the U.S., I left files and documents with ex girlfriend who I am having a problem getting hold of. She does not have all documents and titles but does have some with the Yenko. This has been a nightmare because of the timeframe. To make a long story short I owned a lot of cars, the Yenko my favorite, had a severe injury that caused me to loose memory for just over 15 years, now that part of my memory is coming back, nobody will tell me where my cars are along with other items. This car is known, a long with others, and I at one time employed a company in California to keep records and documentation. I have more than one person who held items and cars for me. I have asked and have had no response.Even the government and law enforcement have records and even VIN#'s of some of my cars and I am awaiting their response. This has been a total nightmare and I never thought I would get the response I have received. With all the cars in question, anyone that knew me would know this car is very important to me ! I am pursuing this with law enforcement and government where at one time they had records on my assets from working for them and military at one time. As soon as I get notice of anything I will let everybody know, cause I also have pics and info from legends I knew that are no longer with us. But still if anyone can lend a hand I welcome all responses at . the sad thing is someone out there knows who I am and that I own these cars and may even be in possession of any one of them and they will not come forward. Thanks for any help I get from any members !

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
I own the car, the car was being held for me during a injury and loss of memory, I never sold it.

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
This is all very fishy.
|
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
f68yenko, why don't you go the DMV and get the vin# and have a cop run it to see who owns it. report it stolen and get it back. IMHO Your story is questionable to me.
|
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
No matter the back story, you aren't approaching this right. Get VIN's and report them stolen.
|
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
Quite a confusing thread, however, I did notice that you mentioned that at the time you were suffering from memory issues, so it is logical to conclude you might have asked someone to sell the car for you rather than to store it and now do not remember doing that. Perhaps that did not happen, but certainly it seems to be a possibility. As others have mentioned, without a VIN there is little to go on to sort out the story.

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
No, never sold it or other cars in california that I purchased from celebrities as well, law enforcement is working on it now. There is even records of court cases of several attempts to steal the car in different states, believe it or not a man I told it wasn't for sale to had to be put on a restraining order and he got caught hiring two guys to steal the car as well. My cars are known and people know that I'm looking for them and who I am, lawyers and handlers that worked my cars are being very difficult. Also a ex girlfriend as well is hard to locate who I left documents with, trust me as soon as hear the first word, I will post the info. This being SYC, I thought it might speed up the process

This whole story reeks of BS.Lawn enforcement can't look for a car without a VIN. You offer no proof of anything except wild stories, and your name "Frank Costas" was a QB for the Hurricanes in the early 90's. Show us 1 piece of evidence that your aren't full of shit, please. I'll wait. |
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
ITS A FISHING EXPEDITION.
|
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
This seems to be a repetitive thread over and over. Same info with no real proof for anyone to go on. If the car is a 67 or 68 then it should be easier to track down with the numbers being so low. I have to agree with the fish

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
You ever worked government dude, they even show you they can on sitcoms and movies, with the right clearance they can pull up every vehicle linked to your social and drivers license, don't be that naive. You ever done a paper trail on a fugitive, auto trail is one of the first ways to catch some on on the run.

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
If you think it's not true and you know anyone who knows Diana Munson, ask her, a copy of the cartoon on the back of the car was matted and framed and hung in their house after Thurmond passed. I was the one who gave it to her. And if you know Tracy Kelly or Michael, I was the guy who drove them around in that same car in their fathers clearing in the house in Florida, I also snuck them off for ice cream in the same car. I 've had to go to court several times over people trying to steal the car and even had to put a restraining order on one fellow and Diana flew from Ohio to North Carolina as a witness once.
I challenge you to ask if you know the family ! |
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
The only BS is the response I have been getting to find a car that was known in the early eighties and beyond and was even registered with Yenko, I use to keep the yenko club registration certificate framed and on the wall in my office.
|
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
If you know the Munson family Diana's brother handled the list of all the cars that Thurmond owned ( he had a bunch of show cars, and when he died, I was at the funeral sitting behind the kids, all his friends showed up with their show cars out of respect), my car shows up on the list under my name, or a light blue yenko camaro. I was purchasing it from Thurmond when he past on a pay as you go plan. Thurmond wanted me to have that car bad, there's a story behind it and after he passed they made sure !
|
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
I had an injury, I lost my memory, I'm sorry, I'm asking for help to find a car that it is well known it's mine !
I a sure you as soon as people stop being difficult and my cars start popping up, especially the Yenko my favorite I will more than be happy to post pics. I am trying to work with law enforcement and government now ! |
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
Did not ask anyone to sell any of my cars, motorcycles, antiques, collectables or memorabilia !
|
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
If you question my authenticity, and I can understand, Thurmond s house in Florida had Gladstone across a big wall in the family room, if you were a player or new Thurmond you would know this, the house was sold shortly after he passed and the new owners remodeled the house sadly where you could not tell it was his anymore. The copy of the cartoon that was on the back of the car hung in the house in Ohio.

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
Let's see your ID with picture and some pictures with you next to the cars you are asking about. Problem solved. Maybe an article describing your accident? The Internet is full of great people, crooks, liars, and just plain kooks. We don't know you or which you are. Anyone can come here and claim to be whatever they want. It doesn't mean squat without proof and you have provided none. Try to see the other side of the coin and you will see helping hands.

Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
This thread is getting painful.
Frank, I think a lot of guys would like to believe you AND HELP YOU. You simply are not giving enough to go on. I read where you lost your memory for 15 years. Not trying to be unkind or "difficult", but how do you KNOW you didn't sell the car, if you had no memory for 15 years? No one here can help without some more information. |
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
I have memory loss from reading this
No disrespect, I love everybody |
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
And there's no "d" in Thurmon!
|
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
The car was not sold ! Who ever has it did not buy it from me !
|
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
This is a very intriguing thread. I have a suggestion, Why don't we have a moderator or some other willing neutral party take a call from f68yenko. Maybe that would help this discussion along. If someone could help put his whole story into words, it may help this come to some type of resolution. (and no I'm not volunteering.) m
|
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
Lol...Actually there's no "o" or "d" in Thurman!
|
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
You want hear something real funny, if you know the Munson Family, especially Diana, ask her, in a court a law in North Carolina under oath I said I would not sell the car to anyone accept for a Munson, that is why the car was not sold by me. And I have not sold it to a Munson either. For all you non believers, ask Diana Munson !
|
Re: Munson Yenko Camaro
If you have made that statement in court there should be a record of it. Where is it ? Show us something that proves any of this is real. I'm impressed at how patient this group has been up to this point.
