Wow, there's a flashback right there! I remember my parents returning from their US vacation in '82 where they took in the CC nats, with pics of this awesome Nova. As a budding car freak, I was amazed. In 1988 Rick brought his J2000 out to Australia for the inaugural Summernats event and needless to say, blew everyone away.

So, any predictions what he'll get for it at auction?

Re: One of the Original Pro Streeters going to auction

When I was in High School, Rick and his ex-wife ran a speed shop in Springfield, VA (outside Washington, DC) in an industrial park area. This is where we bought all of our parts and there was a pretty big street race scene out in front of their shop on weekend nights. I remember watching the build of the nova take place as they would let us go in the back of the shop and check out the progress. They also hosted a few car shows at the shop back around 1979-81 time frame before I went off to college. I also remember his wife had a beautiful 67 white tri-power (427-400) corvette with AC. He then went on the build the J2000 and I think he and his wife split up not too long after that and the shop closed down in the mid 80's. Many great memories.

For some reason I always thought that car sat more level.
