RARE Original 1972 AMX 4 speed, full paperwork
 

Excellent, original AMX 401 c.i., close ratio 4 speed, A/C, Twin grip, console, gauges, Rally-Pac,Factory 8-track, window sticker, all other paperwork. this is a REAL one. V.I.N. is A2M798Z1xxxxx.
Well my left knee is now almost useless, so the 4 speed car I bought a few months ago, I can't enjoy driving. Need to sell and get something with an automatic. I did put a lot of time and money into this car to get it correct and right.
This is a true Muscle Car in excellent original condition. Ultra rare, 825 AMX made in 1972 with the 401, and 20-25 401 made with 4 speeds, just a couple of those had A/C. People are starting to snatch these up now, if they can be found. Photo Bucket 260 photos: pics

On eBay one more time. Road tests back in the day had an automatic equipped 401 AMX running 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds and 14.3 sec. quarter mile at 98.8 mph. So a 4 speed would be even quicker. That's in pretty fast company:

I have a 1968 AMX 390 auto. Been sitting in the original owners garage since 1973...untouched.
