Re: 1970 W-30 Post
A beautiful car, great color combo. Rare to see A/c on this body style. Observed that the cowl tag has a 12D build date and the broadcast card shows 5th day of Jan, which was on a Monday, never seen a gap like that before.

Re: 1970 W-30 Post
The "gap" between a car body scheduled to be built on Christmas week and finished a few days after the New years weekend doesn't seem unusual to me at all and the body style had no restrictions regarding the ordering of A/C or any of the other equipment on the car. It seems that someone other than a racer may have wanted a "Post" car for a multitude of possible reasons.

Re: 1970 W-30 Post
Wow Stefano, NicKey (can't seem to find a backwards K on my keyboard) has become a "Little Lansing"! Love the post cars. Not long ago, I had a '72 "U" code post with A/C and OAI. Shouldn't have sold it.....rare car. Good luck with your sale.

Re: 1970 W-30 Post
Very cool car

Re: 1970 W-30 Post
Thanks guys. Also I have been reminded that the AO1 on top of the broadcast card is the code for tinted windows.

Re: 1970 W-30 Post
This W-30 runs and drives very well. It was 75 degrees out yesterday, had to test drive some cars.

It seems that someone other than a racer may have wanted a "Post" car for a multitude of possible reasons. Here is another identical date example from the classic olds site. "My 70 Vista Cruiser has 12D stamped on the cowl tag and 01/70 on the blue sticker on the door. The date on the broadcast card is 1-5-70." vin on mine is 234437 , wagon is 234806 |
