My newest build - 1979 "Day2" Z-28 Camaro
I am very excited to share my newest Build Project with everyone.
My client has given me permission to start a thread on his very cool 1979 Z-28 Camaro. He is a member on here, he may or may not reveal himself....his choice. This will not be your ordinary all original Z-28 Camaro.....it is a "Day2" Build. I will let the pictures speak for themselves for now. Enjoy! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps4c24769e.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps6d2c5f83.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psb1727746.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psb4df8c3b.jpg Dan |

Transmission of choice:
- Richmond Bullet-Proof 5 speed (4+1) transmission (3:27 first gear, 2.13 second, 1.57 third, 1.23 fourth, 1.00 fifth) - Hurst Competition Plus short throw shifter - Centerforce billet steel flywheel - Centerforce clutch - McLeod scattershield http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps12baac18.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psb878e600.jpg Dan |
Re: My newest build - 1979 "Day2" Z-28 Camaro
So happy to see a trans that keeps that old school mechanical feel. Modern internal rail shifted transmissions just feel like toys to me. You are working with a very nice selection of parts!

Re: My newest build - 1979 "Day2" Z-28 Camaro

Yes, this 1979 Z-28 Camaro came from Florida....my client has owned the car since 1987....all 100% original body panel car, except for the trunk lid. A very rust free Camaro. Dan |

Re: My newest build - 1979 "Day2" Z-28 Camaro
Dan, I have a NOS driver side door weather strip #9868431 if interested.
car looks good. why not leave the factory black on the underside? |
Re: My newest build - 1979 "Day2" Z-28 Camaro
Thanks Donnie, we have all the weather strip for the car.
The owner wanted the Red Oxide primer.....I may be bias, but it looks wonderful. Just wait and see how good it will look when the rest of the goody parts are installed under that chassis Dan |
